Description
This machine is a dream come true to armies on campaign. Basically one pours sand, metal pellets, plastic pellets and similar small bits of material into a hopper in the back, it processes them and uses them to build spare parts, guns, tools, boots and other such products molecule by molecule and assemble them with a set of internal manipulator arms. It can't make explosives or complex organic chemicals but that still leaves a lot of things which it can make. It has four self powered wheels which allow it a degree of mobility (it's top speed is 30km/h). It requires a fair bit of energy to run and is usually gets most of it externally, but it also has a solar panel and a set of internal batteries to supplement this. Even so it's ability to simplify logistics by making things in-situ is often invaluable.
