Description
An Infrastructural Type-4R/A rifle (imperator-zor.deviantart.com/a… ) outfitted with the Mark-2 Rifle Grenade Launcher. This device is afixed to the end of the Type-4/R rifle. The Rifle is loaded with blank rounds and a specialized rifle grenade is loaded down the weapons. When the gun is fired, the grenade is launched at high speed, exploding on contact with the ground. The Grenade Launcher was introduced with the onset of the escort wars. The result which allowed infantry to launch explosive projectiles against enemy posistions up to several hundred meters away from them, while being portable was fairly easy to manufacture. Never the less it's overall accuracy was fairly poor even at these comparatively short ranges and it required specialist training to operate.
