Description
This gentleman is outfitted with some relatively basic gear (body armor, uniform, boots) and a rather powerful infantry scale weapon. The first part of this which would be the most familiar to most modern people is a basic laser carbine capable of firing pulses between 0.5 and 25 kJ for destructive purposes via directed energy. However it also acts as secondary component to his main weapon, a backpack mounted missile launcher or VLS (Vertical Launch System) Pack. In short, he can use his laser carbine to paint targets and then fire off 30mm missiles out of his backpack. The launcher can fire up to eight rounds at a time and carries up to 48 missiles. These fly up, then turn around and towards the target. These missiles can take out clusters of soldiers in regular armor as well as lightly armored vehicles and many forms of power armor. The nature of a VLS pack does require the operator to be aware of people and soldiers around him.
