I was going to go ahead and give this a try on XP, but the installer tells me it's only for the current Beta version of Rainmeter (2.5). Is that true, or is that just the error thrown up when you try installing it on XP?

I included a .zip format of the .rmskin installable in the description. The .zip folder includes the uncompressed format of this release. Be aware however, that some of the coding that went into this release is specific to Windows operating systems that outdate XP. Commands like "shell:Libraries" for example, which are native to Windows 7. I hope you enjoy the taskbar.

This release was created on, and for, the current release of Rainmeter, which is Rainmeter 2.4 Final [link] . This however is for disclaimer purposes only. The coding is, or at the very least "should be", compatible with legacy versions of Rainmeter. In addition, as to the .rmskin installable itself, I created the .rmskin for "Windows 7". This might the source of your problems. In all likelihood it's a compatibility issue with your operating system and the way in which I encoded the file. If it is, you should try extracting the contents of the .rmskin installable on a Windows 7 or higher operating system and transferring the contents to your Windows XP machine. I hope this helped. Thank you taking an interest in my release. Please feel free to post any other future technical difficulties you may have.

I believe you mean "Free" as in freedom. Free as in beer means an item is free of charge.

This release is free as in free of charge. The program Rainmeter needed to install the taskbar is also free as in free of charge. In addition, freedom is not a tangible object. Computer data is considered tangible in varying courts of law. In essence, making both this release and Rainmeter free as in free beer.

I hope you enjoy the taskbar.

BTW I like the skin, nice work. I am aware the skin and rainmeter are Free as in beer. But you said

"7. You are free, as in free beer, to download, modify and redistribute this release as long as you include a link to the original source of your material."

Which is using free in the "Free as in speech" or "Free as in Freedom" sense, not the beer sense.
