Thanks heaps Oriana! I'm trying to get back into drawing tattoo designs at the moment! I just finished a large shoulder piece for a friend in Portugal, and I hope to be able to post a video on my YouTube account about designing and drawing it towards the end of the year! Thanks for your kind words! Have a nice day!

Hey Rebel, as you may have noticed the original design was not created by me (crazyxzombiexgirl.deviantart.c… . So the original meaning is unknown as I haven't been able to contact the artist!
For me, this artwork is about two things. The Yin Yang is all about balance, but I have incorporated the themes of heaven and hell (or good and evil). The wing represents good and the spikes represent evil.
Good and Evil are balanced, and there can be evil in good, and good in evil at the same time. At the time I drew this I found heaps of meaning in it and it was a learning experience I suppose. However, now the meaning is not important to me, and the fact that good can be found in evil and vice versa is just life - nothing more.
The second meaning is to remind myself of Honour. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. The value of Honour is to make sure each action is the right decision, and doesn't necessarily benefit you all the time. Honour sometimes means sacrifice for the benefit of others. This idea was influenced by the movie "The Last Samurai".
So hope that helps. The explanation may not make sense as I'm writing it late at night! Feel free to ask me any more questions!
