Oh, it’s a submission with actual color.

This is another piece from my Oil Painting class, this one from level 3. The picture came out a little on the dark side, the colors are more vivid in person, but its okay (I’m still not use to using the camera for submissions). For Painting 3, we had the make a series; three paintings that relate to the same theme or idea. The theme I decided to go with was this idea of things we think we know, but don’t actually know unless we see or experience it. This piece uses an example a friend used, that a person who lived their whole life in a white room only reading about color wouldn’t actually know about color.

I really love the colors in this one. I love colors in general but this one’s like. . . mah! The strips of color got small as I moved down. I think there’s a little too much orange and not quite enough green. Maybe I’ll go back and fix that in the future. . .
