Description
Listening to Pelicans 'March Into The Sea' (off the ep) over and over again, especially the first 2 minutes and this image came into my head. The music has movement, purpose and determination. To me it has a sense of perminance but not a feeling of finality that maybe death might bring but migration. It has a hint of doom or dread or something like that, something big but not necessarily evil. Anyway this image was of these stone giants emerging, almost bursting, from the tree line by a beach and marching on into the sea. A mass exodus for seemingly unknown reasons. And from this some crummy sketches!Obviously, golems, animated constructs from jewish folklore, this time made from natural bedrock as opposed to clay, this time powered and controled by the life-force of a tree. Removing the tree would deanimate the golem, like rubbing off the 'e' in 'emet' (truth) to form 'meit' (dead)

I love the lines you've got going on here. The patch of grass and the tree at the top is such a nice detail.
