*Chocolate stood before Toasty with his hands over his mouth, he was shocked seeing Toasty completely burnt.* “N-n..no.....T...Toasty...?” *He stuttered as tears began to well in his eyes.*

*No real verbal response came from the other, other than some sort of gargled growling noise. It almost sounded like some sort of warning, as if he was hesitant to hurt Chocolate*

*Chocolate began to walk back as his eyes grew wide with both fear and sadness, his thoughts raced as he began to sweat.* “What do I do?.....Hhhh....”

*Toasty took a step closer, a low rumbling and clicking noise coming from the back of his throat. He flexes his claws slowly, seeming ready to attack Chocolate at any moment*

*Chocolate whimpered quietly and quickened his pace, keeping his eyes on Toasty* “T-Toasty...” *He called out to him*

*He froze at the name, tilting his head slightly at Chocolate. He seemed..confused as to why Chocolate was saying his name*

*Chocolate’s eyes grew in realization, still stepping backward, he attempted again and called out to him again, a bit louder this time.* “T-Toasty..”

*Toasty tilts his head a little more, and steps closer to Chocolate, his large tail thumping behind himself. A small cooing noise left him, though his stance was still aggressive*

*Chocolate stood in place, trembling a bit as he tried to keep his composure, he called out once more, with more reassurance.* “Toasty....I-It’s okay Toasty....”

*He blinks at Chocolate, taking another step closer to the other. Another soft coo leaves him, as he tilts his head*

“It’s me honey....Ch-Chocolate...I’m not gonna hurt you...” *He continued to tremble as he hopes that he’s getting through to Toasty.*

*Toasty steps closer again, his stance easing up slightly. He seemed interested, slowly becoming less hostile*

*Chocolate didn’t stop there, he continued speaking to Toasty.* “I’m here honey....it’s gonna be alright....I won’t let anyone hurt you..I-I promise..”

*Toasty blinks at Chocolate, stopping a few feet infront of him. He tilts his head to the other side, leaning down to look at him*

*Chocolate stood in place as he trembled, he wouldn’t leave Toasty.* “I...I still love you Toasty....no matter what I will always love you for who you are and what you are...Even if you hurt me I would still love you...”

*Toasty leans over a little, sniffing at Chocolate. He seemed to slowly be recognizing him, as his general stance eased up more*

“That’s it....y..you know me hun...I...I promise...I won’t leave your side...” *Chocolate gave Toasty a reassuring tearful smile.* “I promise...”

*Toasty took another very small step closer, to the point where his outer crocodilian-lIke jaws were almost touching chocolate, sense he was leaning down. He blinked again, and coos softly*

“Y-Yes Toasty, it’s me...! *His smile widened a bit as he trembled a bit less* “It’s me...”

*A puff of smoke came from Toasty’s maw, but a small smile came to his face*
“..choc..l..ove..” *He merely muttered, as that was all his voice would allow him to do like this*

“Your still you....” *He gave him a full smile as he wiped away his tears. “Your gonna be okay, you hear?...”

“..still...me..” *Toasty carefully reached a hand out, and cupped the side of Chocolate’s face, gently rubbing his thumb over the other’s cheek*

*Chocolate let out a smile, slowly raising his hand, reaching out into the maw of the Burnt to gently touch the side of Toasty’s face, hesitating a bit* “M-May I?...”

*Toasty nods slightly, the maw of the burnt opening more. It seemed like Toasty was in control for now, hopefully it would stay that way*

*Chocolate gently reached in and gently stroked Toasty’s face, trying to comfort him as best as he could.* “I love you Toasty....I’m gonna help you...I’m gonna help you control...and I won’t leave your side...your gonna get through this...I promise you~...”

*Toasty let out a soft whine, and tugged on the jaws of the burnt head a little*
“..dont..like..” *He muttered, trying to press himself further against Chocolate’s hand, a more saddened look on his face*

*He continued rubbing Toasty’s face gently, looking him in the eyes as he did.*

*Toasty slowly shifted around, and then rather suddenly hugged Chocolate close, though it was a little awkward due to the burnt head. He was trying though, he really was.*

Chocolate gently wrapped his arms around Toasty and gave him a gentle embrace, rubbing his back a bit*
“Of course I’ll stay...I-I’ll stay with you no matter what...”

*Toasty smiles a little, and leans down to give Chocolate’s face a gentle lick, cooing softly again*

*He gently raised up, having some trouble, but he successfully managed to give Toasty a kiss.*
