Quite frankly, that is quite impressive... Quite impressive, indeed. If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion, might I say that perhaps a interesting background might be something of a bizarre landscape, say a flowstone desert or the such, alpha'ed back some, and then-over that, a lesser contrast 'WT' seal/logo over the landscape... All of this to be reduced in contrast, as to keep the focus on the wonderful character art!
Oh, and one last point... The Monkey - Gold. I especially like the side-leaning jaw with the drool. Magnificent!

Sweet work! Now this is how they should have looked! I think maybe some colored shapes for the bg would be fine. I don't think a fully colored bg with details would work cause it'll take away from the great designs. Kudos!
