Actually, reading the bible isn't enough. You must understand how the passages reflect your everyday life. And for your question.

Thank you for adding this deviation. There are too many people who do not believe in God and think that alcohol, tobacco and other drugs are the only way you can feel happy.

nah, I don't actually say that drinking alcohol is a sin. lol, I just don't drink it for goodness' sake. I mean, drinking alcohol as a minor is not appropriate. It can lead to undesirable happenings. and you know what I mean

I don't smoke, drink alcohol or do illegal drugs... but I'm not religious... it's my personal choice.
On the other hand, I know many (not generalizing) persons who call themselves "religious" and are addicts...
I'm not saying I disagree with you, I respect everyone... just wanted to point out that a lot of people might have chosen this way of life... for different reasons.
