I can really see it happening:
Cream is enjoying her time at her high school dance, when she spots a friend sitting by the sidelines she had known since the two were little kids. The rabbit walks over to her two-tailed friend, hoping to invite him.
Cream: "Wanna dance with me, Tails?"
Tails: "Um... Sure?"
Cream: *grabs Tails' arms* "Then let's."
Tails: "Actually, I don't really know how to."
Cream: "Then I'll help you."
