"RUN!" Ridge shouted, not that he had to, the elf was already running and jumping onto the top of the boat. He followed swiftly and climbed up next to her.
"Alright... the top of the boat... not my best idea..." Xevphera stated as she looked forward at the giant spider that had climbed up from the inside, leaving a gapping hole in the boat. It spotted them and walked forward menacingly, chomping its pincers together.
"Run?"
"No, I have a better idea..." She gave the reaper a smirk before running towards the monstrosity.
"What are you doing?!"
He watched her run and summersault over the spider, landing on the other side of it and stabbing it in the back with an arrow. It shrieked in pain and turned round, knocking Xevphera to the side and hissing at her. She kicked it in its may eyes and then twisted and ran underneath it, bringing up her bow and jumping onto its back, shooting it in the head. The spider thrashed about, crying its last breaths. It flung Xevphera into the mast of the ship and then dropped dead. Ridge ran over to the elf, who was knocked out. He sighed and picked her up and walked into the forest.

------------

Xevphera turned her head and slowly opened her eyes. Next to her was a fire, Ridge was sat on the other side of it, poking it with a stick. She sat up and looked down, he'd wrapped a bandage round her middle.
"Look who's awake." The reaper smirked. "Good. I was worried I was losing you." He poked the fire again.
"What happened?"
"You took on a spider. Got thrown against the mast of the ship, hurt your back and passed out from the sudden burst of pain."
"How long was I out?"
"A few hours. I brought you into the forest. And found a good spot."
Xevphera looked round and moved around until she was sat comfortably. "Wasn't you worried about Martyn?"
"First night he tends to spend scouting out in the sewers. Plus, Toby's dead, so he wont be skulking around."
"Why would Toby be here, he wasn't partners with Martyn."
"You're right. Xephos was, however, Toby isn't the best with people, he would have probably gotten scared and left whoever he was paired with."
"Sjin."
"Good memory."
"Yeah, good enough to know that I need to go and get my arrows back from that spider as soon as I can. I'm running low."
Ridge smirked. "For now, all you need to do is rest. and eat. Here..." He pulled out some bread and tossed it to her.
"Thanks..."
"No problem. It's sorta boring out here... away from the action. First night, most people try to form a base, make traps... especially in Lalna's case."
"Well, that doesn't surprise me."
Ridge chuckled. "Yeah... So, my point is, we don't really have anybody to worry about at the moment. So, I can do something stupid, like this!" He moved his hand around and next to him, materialised a guitar.
"I wish I could do that..."
Ridge smirked and pulled up the guitar and strummed it a little, causing a racket.
"Oh, don't! You're making me cringe!"
"Haha, yeah... I prefer piano to be honest."
"Here" Xevphera held out her hand and the reaper passed her the guitar. "Any requests?" she smiled and pulled up the guitar.
"Know any Def Leppard?"
"Of course!" Xevphera smiles and began playing Hysteria, by Def Leppard.
Ridge smiled and looked down at the fire. This was... actually quite fun!

------------

He sat up and looked round, Xevphera was putting the fire out and the sun was just rising above the hills in the distance. He stood up and stretched.
"Let me guess, you didn't sleep?"
"I hardly ever do..." The elf answered and began walking back toward the ship. "Come on, we've wasted quite a bit of time already."
"Wow..."
"What?"
"Nothing!" Ridge followed her and caught up.

------------

It didn't take long to get to the boat again, and Ridge stayed on the ground while Xevphera went to get the arrows back.
"I have a bad feeling..." He stated from the ground and folded his arms as he looked up.
"Me too... keep a look out." Xevphera said back over her shoulder. She looked around the boat as something creaked. She slowly stood up and hunched a little, prepared for an attack. Nothing happened. She sighed and grabbed the arrows before standing back up. She was about to leave when someone tackled her, knocking her over.
Ridge didn't hesitate, he began climbing up onto the boat.
Xevphera kicked the persons feet from under them, but they kicked back, knocking her in the back. She hissed in pain and twisted her foot down to meet his face. When she pulled it back, she saw a familiar face.
"Sjin..."
Ridge came up and grabbed Sjin, then grabbed a nearby rope and tied him to the mast. "You alright?"
"I'm fine Ridge."
The reaper nodded and grabbed a bucket of water, keeping the bucket for later, it may come in useful. He threw it at Sjin, who promptly woke and tried to stand up.
"Stop squirming Sjin."
"Why do I always have to die at the start?!"
"Because you're stupid and attack someone in the wrong way." Xevphera answered.
"Where's Toby?!"
"...Toby's dead."
"Damn it! I told him not to wonder off!"
"Then why did you let him?"
"Because, we were a bit busy getting chased by that thing!" Sjin nodded to the giant body of the spider.
Ridge sighed. "I'm getting bored."
"I can tell you where some of the others are, I saw Martyn and Xephos killing some people down in the sewer! If you let me go, I'll take you to where they were!"
"Nah, you just told us where they were!" Ridge smirked evilly.
"No! Please! Don't kill me!"
"How do you like barbecued architect Xevphera?"
"Ew..." The elf answered.
The reaper chuckled and clicked his fingers, summoning fire in his grip.
"No! Don't!"
"If someone close by sees the fire, they might be able to help you... within the five seconds after we leave. After that, bye, bye Sjinny."
The architect squirmed around in a useless attempt to get free. He screamed for help, which made the reaper panic a bit. If someone was nearby, they would hear, then they may have another fight on their hands. He threw his hand forward, and his hand threw the fire forward. Sjin screamed in pain as it singed him and the teammates jumped from the boat as it set on fire.
They stood for a moment afterwards to watch as the entire boat lit up like a Christmas tree. Sjin's cries were no longer heard.

:Sjin was burned alive:
