Once, in a farming world, there were 3 brothers. The eldest, and wisest was Duncan Lalna, who watched over his brothers. The second brother was named Paul Sjin, and he was kind and humble. The third brother was mischievious and brave, his name was Lewis Xephos.

------------

The ranch would always be peaceful this time of day. As the sun dawned over the horison of the Carlayne cliffes, Lewis smiled. He was lying back, relaxed, on the roof of the barn. His legs slightly crossed and his hands behind his head.
"Ah" he sighed, this was the life.
A cool breaze rang through the birchwood forest and met his face, brushing against him and releaving him of his worries as he drifted off to sleep.

------------

"Have you tried the roof?" Duncan asked his brother, who appeared to be trying to find the youngest.
"Yes, he wasn't there. I don't see why he can't just stay in one place for once." Paul answered, causing his elder brother to shrug.
"Sometimes you've just got to go with it and let things unfold." Duncan was right, and phrased it perfectly. Still Paul was worried, even though his younger had done a lot of work today, he had been slacking off a lot recently. "Have you tried the barn roof?" Duncan interrupted him from his worried thoughts.

"Ovcourse! The roof is lower so it's harder to see on top of!" Paul said happily, but then a look of confusion plastered itself across his face and he fount himself raising an eyebrow. "Wonder how he got up there..."
"Are you kidding? This is Lewis were talking about."
"Oh yeah there is that." Paul chuckled before walking out of the barn, and trying to find a way up to the roof.

------------

Once he had finally got up there, after stacking some hay barells, he was met with the twin moons rising from the east and the red sun setting in the distance, causing the sky to turn orange and pink like water with a paintbrush dipped in.
He sighed, the farm was so peaceful.
"Duncan, come look at this" he whispered as he walked up to the chimney and leant against it, folding his arms. His brother came up on to the roof to see what was up. He saw the sun and the moons, but what was more peaceful was the sight of his brother, who was curled up in the thatched roofing, asleep and breathing peacefully.

"Should we wake him up?" Paul asked as Duncan walked up behind him.
"Nah, this is the first time he's slepped so soundly in weeks." Duncan answered, before walking past his brother and picking up the youngest, careful not to wake him.

------------

He was met by the welcoming smell of bacon and toast as he rose from his slumber. "Morning" a voice called from over the other side of the room. Lewis sat up to see Paul. They were in thier room upstairs, Duncan must have brought him back inside after he fell asleep.
Paul smiled to him and he kicked the covers off and swung his feet out of the bed. "I'd get dressed if I were you. The moderators coming round today to see how we're getting on. He'll be here in half an hour." Paul stated, he was sitting on his bed, his back against the frame and in his hands one of Duncan's books.

"Since when do you read?" Lewis joked as he stood up. Paul raised an eyebrow to him.
"Duncan leant it to me, and I read all the time thank you!"
"Picture books dont count as reading Sjin. What is it anyway?" Lewis walked to Pauls bed and began tugging the book from his grasp, much to his brothers disaproval.
"No stop, i'm reading it!" Paul stated firmly, but his brother yanked the book out with one hand and turned it to face himself.
"Alice in wonderland?" he mused
"Yeah, we used to read it to you when you were a baby." Paul said and got a half hearted nod back.
"I remember." Lewis stated before walking back over to his own bed, chucking the book over his shoulder back at his brother.

------------

Duncan certainly knew how to cook. He even remembered how each of them liked thier food. He would have a lot of eggs and they would be scrambled, then as a side to that he would have two rashes of sizzling bacon and a slice of bread and butter.
Paul would have his in a sandwich, the fried egg on his plate and a few sausages in the bread with his bacon.
Lewis would have very crispy bacon, two rashes, and a little bit of scrambled egg on the side with some tomatoe sauce and a slice of underdone toast. He would then put all of the food on to the toast and eat it that way.

After breakfast Paul took Lewis outside to do some jobs and Duncan got to work at tidying the kitchen up. "Please don't let this be a day when Lewis slacks off" he muttered to himself as he thought about the moderators arrival.
The ranch was in top condition! Everything was going great and some crops would even be ready before harvest! Both him and Paul were working well, the only problem was getting thier younger brother to concentrate on the work instead of the fun of it all.
Sometimes Lewis would get frustrated with the way the others were doing the job and do the rest for them, his way. Which was great, but most of the time, and even more lately, he had been skipping out. It would then take the other two a good amount of time to find him and bring him back, time which could have been spent working at the ranch. Ducan sighed. Hopefully today would be a good day.

------------

"And this is the stables." Duncan stated as he showed the moderator through the door.
"Very nice, i'm surprised you managed to gather up three horses and and mule when supplies are so rare nowadays. Especially with all the competition."
"Well, our youngest brother is actually quiet good with animals." Duncan admitted. He looked around the room and speaking of his brother. As he looked at the white horse that belonged to the youngest, he saw Lewis sleeping in the hey next to its pen.
Annoyed, he leaned over and shook his brothers shoulder with one hand. "Lewis, wake up." he said and his brother sturred. "What are you doing in here?!" Duncan asked and his brother looked around.

His blue eyes settled on the man that was with his brother. He was clad in a purple/royal blue long coat, with golden rims. His hair was curled and a deep brown colour. His trousers were a deep cream colour and brown boots came up half way to his kneecaps.
"Lewis." he said amused.
"Ridge." Lewis answered as he got up and dusted himself off of the hay.
"Still skipping out on work?"
"No." Ridge raised an eyebrow in a 'what's with the attitude?' kind of way and Lewis turned to his white horse, stroking her nose. "I was coming in here to ride my horse, must have dozed off." he added in a kinder tone.

"You were suppost to be helping Paul." Duncan said calmly.
"It didn't interest me." was his answer. "Besides, Paul was doing it wrong and wouldn't let me show him how to do it."
Duncan put an arm on his younger brothers shoulder and turned him to face himself.
"Lewis, the way you do it isn't always going to be the best, you need to get out of this little OCD thing you've got." he said as kindly as he could.
"You get that from your mother." Ridge stated casualy from behind the eldest. Lewis look down at his feet.
"Look, Lewy, how do you think i'm able to pay for us to have bacon and eggs every morning? Or pay for the thatched roof on the barn?" Lewis didn't answer, but nodded a few moments later, before barging past the two and leaving the barn.
"Well he hasn't changed." Ridge stated and Duncan shook his head.
"No he certainly hasn't."
