A simple boating trip, no problem right? Wrong. For the group of four who ventured out on a cabin boat on Halloween, things got a little strange...

Exza didn't really know most of the group, she hadn't really talked to Red or Cormburskan, as for Xevphera, sure they got along but getting along and being friends was very different. The only reason why she was on this trip was because her friends at the gemstone fort had demanded she chilled a bit. She didn't even know who would be going on the trip until she walked down the dock toward the boat.

Red and Cormburskan had planned this trip for a while, originally a few others, their friends, were supposed to be coming along, but some un-missable plans came up. Not that Cormburskan cared really, at least he still had Red with him, who, as of late, had been acting a bit strange. He decided that they both needed a relaxing break, and so the scientist booked the boating trip for the weekend. A few days later he had found out that two other people would be attending, not that it fazed him really, as long as they stayed out of his way. He didn't know who the other two would be until himself and Red made their way down the docks.

Xevphera was annoyed, having to take a 'break' from working at the Jaffa factory. Like she needed a break, worse still, like she needed a break on a rickety, claustrophobic boat with three other people she didn't know. Not only would she feel awkward around these people, shed be completely bored as well. No internet connection, no spare parts allowed on-board, parts she had borrowed from Lalna. A whole weekend with nothing to do and no one she trusted to talk to. Brilliant. She didn't even know who would be on this trip, until she walked down to the bottom of the docks.

------------

Red jumped down into the main cabin of the boat. He turned and grabbed the suitcases Cormburskan was lowering down. He placed it on the floor and his curiosity set in, making sure he took in every detail of the nice and clean looking cabin. He didn't much like the lace doily covered countertops and light wood cabinets . On the smaller kitchen counters sat a little fat, flower patterned kettle pot, a little white microwave and a double light switch. The counters were a white marble and the carpet was light pink.
"I think I just threw up." Red stated sarcastically as Cormburskan jumped down next to him. The scientist chuckled and made his way past his alien friend.
"Zat is ze whole point of zis Red my dear friend."
"To throw up?"
"No, it's supposed to be... relaxzing."
"If you say so..."

------------

While Cormburskan checked out the dining area, Red made his way to what he imagined to be the bedrooms. Dropping his bag on the floor, he took a few steps in and looked around. The room was pretty basic and sort of plain compared to the rest of the house, the ceiling was shorter as well, meaning that the tall alien had to stoop a bit to avoid hitting his head. The windows were little porthole - seen as they were now underwater in this part of the boat - and the door looked like one found in a submarine. Two bunk beds sat to either side of the room. The floor was a strange metal with a light blue carpet covering and the walls were a different type of metal the alien didn't recognise. As he looked toward the ceiling, he spotted something on the top most bunk on the left of himself. As he swivelled, he saw a girl with a fox tail and ears watching him. She twitched her red ears and her long, fluffy tail swished from side to side. She smirked as she leaned over the edge of the bunk and rolled upside down so that her face was even with him own. They eyed each other up and down.
"Guessing your one of the people staying on the boat?" he asked and watched as the girl swivelled back onto her front and jumped gracefully down from the bunk.
"Good guess. Definatly not a ghost am I?"
He opened his mouth to speak when Cormburskan walked through the door.
"Ah, Red. Exza? Haven't seen you in a vhile, how are you?"
The fox girl shrugged "Ok I guess." she pointed to the bunk she was just lying on. "My bunk now, just saying. It has the littlest draft."
Both the men looked to her with a questioning look.
"We're underwater... how can there be a draft?" Red asked.
"Indeed..." the scientist added.
"I don't know, but there is. So even though I don't usually go on the top bunk, that ones mine." Exza's ear twitched.
"Vhat's wrong?"
"I heard someone..."
"I didn't hear anything." Red stated, and the girl pointed to her big fox ears.
"I can hear better than you, spaceboy."
The alien grumbled as the girl wondered out.
"You know her?"
"Ah, yes, ve've known each ozer a vhile now. That Ridgedog first introduzed us."
"You don't say."
A blonde elf walked into the bedroom a few seconds later and dropped her bag on the floor.
"Oh great." she stated sarcastically.
"Just what I was thinking." Red answered, again sarcastically.
"Vell..." Cormburskan said after a few seconds of silence. "Who'z up for somezing to eat? I'm starving." He clapped his hands together and walked back out towards the kitchen.

------------

Well, Cormburskan was actually a pretty good cook! Or, in Red's case, catcher of meat (most people didn't know that Red actually enjoyed a few mice every so often as a little treat) They now all sat around a tall metal dining table, talking about various things.
"So mine dear, vhat have you been up to nowadays?" the scientist asked Exza, who was previously swivelling in her chair. She stopped and looked to the others, who watched her curiously.
"Well... I recently got back from another universe... which was, very interesting."
"A parallel universe? Come on Ex, really?" Xevphera asked.
"Uh, yeah! It was really weird. You and Xephos were little kids, and everyone other than Sips, Honeydew and Nilesy were toddlers or babies... then there was baby and daddy Ridge... It was very confusing! Anyway... What have you two been up to?"
Red looked to his scientist friend.
"Not a lot really. Been hanging around with Eps a lot."
"Yez, a lovely fembot, a bit of a troublemaker if you ask me." Cormburskan added.
"You can say that again..."
"What about you then Xevphera? Been up to much?"
The elf shrugged. "Not really. Recently visited almost everyone in Tektopia, but other than that, nothing really."
Xevphera caught something from the corner of her eye out of the window, a flash of green or something.
"Did you guys see that?" she asked.
"See vhat?" Cormburskan asked, he turned to look where the elf was looking.
"I didn't see anything." Red stated, he seemed pretty bored of the company already.
"Perhaps your elvish eyez vere playing tricks on you."
"Yeah... Maybe..."
