Lalna knew it wouldn't be good, but still he let the spaceman rest a moment. He looked down at him as he lay on his back and held his hand to his wounded shoulder. Finally he decided to talk. "So..."
"This place wasn't on the map," Xephos stated. "Mind telling me why that is?"
"I've been working on it, and started building it after I gave you the map."
He didn't get a response, the spaceman simply lay, looking up at the ceiling.
"I think we need to... take a look at that." he said and finally got eye contact from the spaceman, who then nodded and attempted to sit up. Lalna helped him to his feet and took him to the lab where the first aid kit was.

"That looks very painful." the scientist stated and chuckled in a friendly way. When his friend didn't answer he looked him in the eyes. "Whats wrong?"
Xephos shook his head and avoided eye contact. Something was wrong. Very wrong.
"Xeph... I..."
"I just... Feel a bit sick, that's all."
"I need to do some tests."
Xephos looked up to the scientist and raised an eyebrow. "The stuff you landed in is... not very good for you. And considering you fell in with a dinosaur that's... basically even worse!"
"What kind of tests?"
"Just a few basic scanning's, some blood samples. If none of them are responsive, just a few exorcises. If they are responsive..."
The room became quiet and what was only a moment seemed like an eternity.
Finally, the spaceman nodded.

They had ventured back to Lalna's castle, and were now sat in one of his labs. The one which contained a cat-scan machine, which Xephos was lying on. Lalna sat behind a glass sheet and monitors. "Ready?"
"Yep."
The spaceman was pulled into the machine, which then scanned him up and down.
No results.
Next it was time for the blood samples.
Again. No results.
Exercise. Still as healthy as ever.
Even the retina scans showed nothing out of the ordinary! Could it be that Xephos' people were immune to the toxic substance?

Was it ever that easy? Just as Lalna was about to dismiss the fact that the spaceman could be ill, he fount something rather strange in his blood and DNA makeup that he just couldn't put his finger on. "Xeph?"
"Hmmm?" the spaceman had been trying to get some sleep after taking a few paracetamols for his migraine. "What is it Lalna?"
"Come here for a minute..."
"Ok?" he walked over and sat down next to the scientist, putting his hand against his aching temple in an attempt to sooth his banging headache. "Well?"
"Look at this."
He handed the microscope over to the spaceman, who sighed and looked down at his blood. In the midst of the light red blood with a golden shine, small grey bubbles were appearing and multiplying every few seconds. He pulled his head away.
"Wh-What does this mean?"
"It means... It means we have a problem."
Xephos' eyes widened at this.
"It means... were gonna have to call Ridge."
