You yawned as you walked up the stairs to the third floor, a flask of tea in your grip and your rucksack hanging from one of your shoulders. You hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, due to the fact that Lewis had been asking you to do some of the editing over the past few days, and seen as he was your boss you simply agreed. You didn't realise how draining it was to do all of it. Lewis' job sure was difficult.
You walked into the common room and sat down, yawning once again before taking a sip of your tea and pulling your laptop from your bag and opening up the editing software which had the newest Sipsco video ready to be finished. You notice someone sit down and look to them.
"Hey." Lewis said, taking a bite from his toast.
"Hi..." You answered, looking back at the computer and taking a sip of your tea. "No one else here yet?"
"Nah, they're all gonna be asleep until half way through the day like usual..." He answered, drinking some of his own tea. "What you doing? Editing?"
"Yeah, it's a lot more tiring than I thought... I couldn't get it all finished last night." You admitted.
"That's fine. Just try not to overwork yourself. Its a fine art." Lewis chuckled before eating some more toast. You looked up at him, realising that he was doing that thing where he looked into your eyes without meaning to. You looked away, attempting to hide a small blush behind a sheet of your hair. You felt him smile but just continued with your work. "Wanna record some more sky blocks once you've finished that?"
"Don't we need Duncan to be able to do that?" You asked back.
"We don't have to record, I just know that you know all the little intricate things that viewers don't really wanna watch. So I thought I'd ask. If not its fine, I can do it. I just have some hole diggers stuff to edit and stuff..." The raven haired man said, standing up and picking up his plate.
"Sure." You answered with a smile. "I'd love to." You felt sorry for Lewis sometimes, sure he had one of the best jobs in the world, but with all the work he had to do he didn't have a lot of time left over for anything else. You watched as he walked out of the room with a grin on his face and then cursed yourself, face palming. 'Love to?!' You questioned yourself. 'Why not I'd enjoy it? Why LOVE?!' You groaned and face planted your keyboard before looking back up to see Lewis stood in the doorway once again. He gave a small smirk, but his voice held a bit of concern in the mix of sarcasm.
"You feeling OK?"
You nodded slowly. "Just a bit tired..." You answer as casually as you could and sighed as he walked away down the corridor with a smile. You carried on with the work at hand until it was completely finished, then sat back. Admiring your own work. You smiled to yourself and then closed your laptop quickly and shoved it in your bag, then rushed to your office, turned on your monitor, and opened minecraft, starting up sky blocks.
You spawned on the block and looked around, upon noticing his character you ran over and messaged him asking to turn on your way of talking with each other. He agreed and after a few seconds of him clicking around you could both speak.
"So, what do we need to do?" You asked.
"Right well I need you to make me some servo's. The pneumatic ones, so I can link up these two machines."
"Sure!" You answered, watching him control his minecraft character and then turned and ran over to the computer and typed in the name so that you could get the recipe up.
------------
After half an hour of working through the kinks in the system you both sighed, sitting back in your chairs.
"I need some tea. Want some?" He asked.
"I can make it if you want to continue with this?" You asked back.
"If that's alright, I'm gonna stay on the audio so if you hear me talking to myself when you come back don't be worried."
You laughed, perhaps a little too hard, and then stood up and quickly rushed from the room, making your way downstairs to get some tea from the coffee shop across the road. After a ten minute wait you ran back upstairs, thought a little more carefully then before seen as you were holding hot liquids. You knocked on lewis' office door and pushed it open, smiling as the man looked up, and handed him his drink.
"Oh thank you so much." He said, taking a sip of it. "Ah!" He exclaimed happily, taking another swig. "I love you sometimes." He said. You smiled.
"Don't mention it!" You said and waved before closing his door and running back to your office. You sat down in your chair and stared at your ceiling for a moment, feeling your cheeks going red. You know he didn't mean it like THAT, but still...
As you sat there grinning to yourself and the ceiling, you heard a familiar voice over the headphones. You grabbed them and slung them back on, logging back in.
"Hey Paul." You said and ran over to him in game.
"Hey -name-" he answered, making his minecraft character wave.
"Where you been man? We've been here for ages!"
"Yeah Paul, come on man." Lewis added with a chuckle.
"Sorry sorry, I think Duncan's coming in soon too, so we can start recording stuff soon." Paul stated. You smiled and continued helping Lewis with his work while Paul just wandered around aimlessly, like in the actual episodes.
Not long later Duncan logged on and greeted everyone with a jolly tone of voice, like usual. You all greeted him back and Lewis said that he was going to grab a cup of tea and then you could start recording. When Duncan and Paul both asked for a cup you offered to help Lewis make them and you joined him in the kitchen. You both smiled at each other as you walked in and grabbed a couple of cups before beginning to make the tea.
After a few minutes of chatting Lewis brought up the small party they would be having that night.
"Oh yeah... I completely forgot..." You answered, pouring the water over the tea bags.
"You've got to come! No excuses this time." Lewis said, a happy smile on his face like usual. You smirked and stirred the water in.
"I guess I could stop by for a little while." You said, a smirk still on your lips. He laughed and patted you on the shoulder before grabbing two of the cups.
"Great! Alright so I'll take one to Duncan and you take the other to Paul and we'll get to recording." He said, grinning at you. You found yourself smiling back and grabbed the other two cups before following him out the door.
After getting everyone their tea and sitting back down at your desk ready to record, you made sure your software was working properly and then told Lewis to take it away.
He did his usual introduction, greeting the audience before explaining what he had done between session. You listened intently, even though you had been with him when he had done it, but it was still interesting to hear. Or maybe it was just his voice but either way you happily listened.
"So what are you guys going to do this session?" Lewis asked.
"Well, I was going to continue working on the dinner... And getting things more red and getting the soya beans for the food quests..." Paul stated, running over to chilli Wawa's.
"I'm going to be doing... Something." Duncan laughed. You all laughed back and then it was down to you.
"-name?-" lewis asked.
"I don't really know to be honest." You admitted. "What needs doing?"
"How about rebuilding the world?" Duncan laughed. You giggled back and agreed.
"Alright then, um going to be god and I'm going to rebuild the world." You said, a slight hint of sarcasm in your voice. It made Lewis laugh to which you smirked at.
------------
"Alright I think that's it for today, I'm starving guys, let's go grab something to eat." Lewis said.
"I agree, let's get going." Paul answered.
"Alright everyone, thanks for watching, love you all, see you next time! Byeeeeee!" Lewis said happily and everyone joined in before switching off their recording software and agreeing to meet at the doors to the stairs in a few minutes.
You switched off your minecraft, turned off your monitors and stood up, pulling your bag over your shoulder and putting your headphones down on the table before ruffling up your hair. The headphones always made it flat so you found that you had to do this often.
After you was sure you looked alright you rushed out of the room and met the others at the stairs, ready for a good lunch.
------------
You had all sat down in your usual seats in the cafe and had ordered your food. You sat opposite Paul and Duncan, Lewis was sat next to you.
"Well that was a fun recording session." Duncan said with a laugh, and you all agreed, bringing up different funny things from the session and thinking of different names for the episodes, which you deduced that Lewis would probably be editing himself.
"I can help with the editing if you want." You told Lewis as the food was placed in front of you all.
"You don't have to do that." He answered, picking up his fork. "I know you have a lot of work going."
"So do you!" You said, giving a small chuckle.
"That's true." He said. "Well, if you wouldn't mind I'm sure I'll need some help with it." He said, taking a bite of his food. You smiled and tasted some of your own.
"What about this party tonight then?" Duncan asked, being the one to always focus on the fun side of things. Especially when it came to an after work party. "Who's coming?"
"Well I think Sips is coming into Bristol for a while again so he's coming, me Simon, Paul, -name-, Turps, Hannah, Kim... And a few guys from upstairs. Hat films... And a few others." Lewis answered, rambling slightly.
"You're actually coming for once?" Paul asked you and you gave him a playful glare.
"Of course. I'm not a complete social outcast you know." You answered, getting a few chuckles from the others. You smiled and looked at your cup, empty. "Alright I'm going to get some more tea, you guys want some?" You asked. They all agreed and Lewis offered to pay half and bring them over. He stood up and placed a hand in your shoulder as you both walked to the counter. You blushed, hiding it behind another sheet of hair as he looked down at you.
"So, you've definitely decided to come tonight?" He asked, leaning against the counter as you waited for your tea. "You're not gonna back out like last time?"
"Of course not." You answered, smiling. He smiled back and you both looked at each other for a moment.
"Here's your tea..." The woman at the counter said. You looked from her then back to Lewis and then quickly back to her.
"Yes! Tea... Thank you." You said and quickly grabbed two of the drinks before shuffling back over to the table.
Lewis sat down next to you once again a few seconds later, smiling at you as he handed the other two their drinks. You looked back down and sipped your drink.
Dinner seemed to go by pretty slowly that day, but soon enough you were back to recording, this time doing some Sjin's farm.
After that you went and sat in the common room, another cup of tea in your grip. You sipped at it and looked up when you heard Lewis' voice from in the corridor. The raven haired man walked in a few seconds later, followed by Chris.
"Hey look who it is!" Chris said, you smiled as he came and sat next to you on the sofa. "Man, when's the next session for dirt quest P-body?" He asked. You chuckled as Lewis came and turned a chair from the table round to face the couch and sat down.
"Later today Sips." He answered.
"Is Turps actually here today?" You asked as you took another sip of your coffee. Turps hadn't been in the day before because he had the flu.
"Yeah he said he's feeling a lot better." Lewis answered with a smile.
------------
You had recorded dirt quest and finished off another lot of editing by the time the day was almost through. Most people had gone home to get ready and you simply sat in your office checking your fan emails. There was a knock on your door and you turned to see Lewis stood there. You stood up and walked over.
"Hey." He said happily. You smiled.
"Hey." You answered. "What's up?"
"Well everyone's gone home to get ready for tonight and I was going to get some tea before the party, wanna come?"
You noticed him staring once again, not that he realised he was doing it, and looked down.
"Sure." You said and saw him smile.
"Great, well its cold out there so don't forget your jacket." He said, before giving one last smile and walking back down the corridor. You smiled to yourself and walked back over to your computer, switching everything off and then walking out, accidentally leaving your jacket hanging over your chair.
You and Lewis walked to the coffee shop and sat down at one of the tables, you listened to him talking about some stuff and smiled as he looked at you. You felt a cold breeze ring down you but you ignored it and continued listening.
After a few more cups of tea and some long conversations you both agreed that it was time to head back to Yogtowers and put on some different clothes. Everyone kept spare clothes at the office so it was easy to do.
As soon as you stepped out the door you felt goosebumps cover your body, and only just realised that you had forgotten your jacket. Lewis sighed.
"You forgot the one thing I reminded you to bring!" He said, smiling.
"Its fine!" You answered and you both started walking.
You attempted to keep your teeth from chattering as clouds of warm air escaped your mouth. You felt something warm landing on your shoulders and looked up to see that Lewis had placed his jacket around you, and now walked in nothing more than his diggy hole T-shirt.
"What are you doing...?" You asked and he smiled.
"You look bloody frozen! Its fine." He answered and you both walked back to Yogtowers, actually excited for the party for once.
