Help Xevphera up?

Yes [X]

No [ ]

I took Xevphera's hand and dragged her to her feet. It was getting even mistier. If not for the flashlight, I wouldn't have any idea who she was.
"I recognise that tree!" Honeydew shouted. "Were getting to the cabin!"
Again I had the feeling that something was watching me. My gut was screaming at me that something, somewhere, was wrong. I realised that sound from earlier was back. Softer, but still present. I started looking around, panicking. Did a head count - or more accurately, silhouette count. Me, Xevphera still holding my hand. Honeydew in the lead, Lalna to the left. Who the heck was the guy besides Lalna?! My grip on Xevphera's hand tightened and I quickened my pace. I thought about shouting out but was worried. If I did maybe the thing would turn around and jump Lalna or something. I didn't know what to do. I ran me fingers along a knife I brought form camp. Then the cabin appeared, out of nowhere. The mist was starting to disintegrate around us. It was easier to make out who everyone was now. I looked to the thing next to Lalna. She looked just like Xevphera. The thing whose hand I was holding leaned in front of me. It wasn't Xevphera. I should have ran or screamed, but my body was clenching up for no reason. The thing turned and walked into the mist. I caught up with the others as they entered the cabin, practically in tears. They couldn't find the car and were arguing about where they put it. I told them what I saw. Obviously they didn't believe me. Still, everyone hurried inside and locked the door.

KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.

"He followed us here!" Lalna shouted.
"He really wants something from us." Honeydew added. "He doesn't seem to have anything to break down the door with, though..."
"What the hell does he want with us!" Xevphera shouted.
"Hell if I know! ask him!" Lalna answered.
I took a step closer to the door.
"Hey! Don't touch the door!" Honeydew said and pulled me back.
"I wasn't gonna..." I turned to Xevphera, she was breathing quiet heavily...
"It's a sturdy door. It'll be alright, won't it?" Lalna asked as I turned to him. I didn't know how to answer, so turned to Honeydew.
"We're safe here. It's cool, man." He stated.
Suddenly the banging stopped.
"Did he go away?" Xevphera asked worriedly.
I left the other three in the hall and walked down through the house. A fireplace. I didn't have any matches though... As I waked away and through the hall, the cabin was plunged into darkness.
"Shit! The basterd hit the breaker." Honeydew shouted from the hall.
"But he cant get in, right?" Lalna's voice came.
I heard Xevphera scream and saw her run past me and down into the cabin. I heard Lalna's footsteps behind me.
"Xevphera!" he shouted through.
"He is j-just trying to scare us. Take it easy." Honeydew added.
I walked over to Lalna who was now stood in the hallway.
"I'm starting to believe what you say you saw earlier..." He said edgily. 'Oh so now you believe me.' I nodded and walked past into the hall and up to Honeydew.
"I-It's fine... He's just trying to scare us..." He said. I nodded and walked back through the hallway to try and find Xevphera. In the corner sat a couple of books and board games. I looked outside the window, there was a grassy path in front and a few trees, but nothing out of the ordinary. I walked down further. The cabin opened into a room which lead to three others. I walked into the door on the left and saw Xevphera sitting on the bed, breathing heavily. She seemed to be hyperventilating.
"Its alright, Xevphera. The door is locked, and it's the only way in." I reassured her. "We're safe here." No response.
I walked out of the room and into the one opposite. I looked out the window, again, there was a grassy path and a few trees. Nothing out of the ordinary... wait... what was that black figure down the path?! "Who is that?" They had a red face... And, they were now gone. I turned away and looked around me. I was in a very cosy room, a very simple kitchen. I waked down into the last room, we played card here before going out camping... I looked past the table strewn with cards and down to Honeydew who was sat in the corner. I made my way over and he looked up to me.
"We're safe here, it's cool, man."
'Hmmm, strange, how did he get back here so fast?' I walked back out of the room again and up and into the hallway again. There was a strange sound as I walked back up to the hall, like tree branches twisting unnaturally. I carried on walking into the hall and saw Lalna looking at the door. He turned as I walked up to him.
"You saw something looking like me?" he asked before turning back to the door. I walked around him and to the door... 'I better not touch it...' I thought. I walked back out and through the corridor, I couldn't just sit still in this kind of situation. As I was half way down the corridor, suddenly, a strong sense of nausea hit me. There was something in the air, I could feel the horror overtaking me again. The entire house creaked and shook around me and my vision turned into bright an obscene colours, that made it very confusing to look around. My hearing sounded static and like I was picking up weird radio signals on a walky-talky. I walked back into the hall, dizzily, Lalna was lying on the floor.
"I-I don't feel so good." he said. I walked back out and went to see if the others were ok. I decided to look out the window in the hallway. Nothing out there. I went down into the room that split into the others to check on my friends. As I walked through the door I jumped slightly to see Xevphera walking out of the room she had sat in and down to near the room Honeydew sat in. She stopped.
"Uhhh!" she exclaimed. and kneeled down in an attempt not to throw up. I patted her on the shoulder and walked past to see if Honeydew was ok. He was struggling to stand up.
"Can't... get... up..." he exclaimed. I walked back out of the room to find out what was happening. I walked to the other window in the kitchen and looked out. Nothing there either. I walked back through into the room Xevphera had been in before.
I couldn't take it anymore, I had to lie down. I couldn't sleep and I wouldn't have even if I could. I just wanted to rest. I waited for the world to stop spinning.
I looked out the window.
There was someone in the tree.
I stared back, not able to register what was going on.
I quickly pulled the blinds down. Xevphera came through the door. She looked pale and dishevelled. I dragged her to the bed and laid her down. She was gasping for air, as if something was suffocating her. Eventually her breathing became more regular. I asked where the others were. She shrugged.
The room had stopped spinning a bit, but I felt far from good. I began to walk fro the room.
Suddenly, a voice could be heard from the locked door. What was worse, though, was that it was Xevphera's voice.
"Let me in! Let me in! God! Let me in there!" they shouted.
I immediately pulled my knife and placed it at the Xevphera lying in the bed.
Her eyes grew wide with shock and alarm, but they could have been faked.
"What are you doing? No! I'm the real one! The one out there, that's the imposter!" she cried.
I was kind of in a trance, unsure what to do and staring down at her.
Maybe I would have stabbed her if the voice at the door hadn't changed into some low, deep, guttural voice. Then it became high-pitched, like a little girls. I pulled my knife away. I snapped out of the trance. Now the nausea was returning. I got to the door and opened it. There was nothing there but a trail of black liquid.

Suddenly I got the feeling that it might not be the best idea to go outside.
