He stood up, and looked around more. This wasn't where Sips and Sjin had first set off the Antimatter explosive, that was for sure. He thought back to that, if he had just let the explosive go off instead of helping, none of this would have happened and he wouldn't have had to be driven to the point of leaving. As these thoughts passed through his mind, he thought of how he had ended up where he was, a field of almost complete wheat, a rail track going through it. Had he been hit by a passing mine cart and knocked out under the tree? He thought back once again, he had been leaving the dirt traders base, his pack full of their belongings... then he had continued walking down the tunnel for a while.

*------*------*

He had walked until he reached the big crevice, deciding that this wasn't the place he had set off the explosive to combat the antimatter one, he decided to rest a moment before continuing. He sat down, his legs hanging over the edge of the deep and dark slit in the landscape. Up above him, a few small holes where he could see stars gleaming through. He relaxed a bit at the sight of them, glistening. beautiful. Reminding him of a hoe he never knew, a home he would never remember. But a home never the less. God knew he needed a home right now... but the one he had was full of imbasills, a scientist and dwarf who probably didn't even care about his welfare, who probably didn't even care that he was gone, lost, and frightened.
He pulled out the pills and looked down at them, getting a glimpse of the bottom of the open crevice. If a zombie were to come, it could probably pull him over the edge. He didn't give it another thought and stood up, popping another pill into his dry mouth before continuing. He built across the smallest gap in the crevice he could find, and then continued down the tunnel.

------------

Ridge was sat in a comfy red armchair, pouring a cup of tea and sipping it, all the while watched by the dwarf and scientist.
"So..." He said calmly, in his charming voice before cracking his signature smirk. "What can I do for you gentlemen?"
"Ridge, we know you know something... we didn't get shocked when we came here, and you have 50 volt tessla coils outside..." Lalna said, a little sternly.
"Ah... you want to know where Xephos is..." The reapwer said, closing his eyes and standing up, the cup disappearing from his grip and the chair following. "Why didn't you say so?"
"Listen mr. floaty!" Honeydew started, his voice angry from the lack of sleep.
Lalna tapped his dwarven friend with the back of his hand.
"Look, Ridge, just... just tell us if you've seen him... please..."
Ridge looked between the two men who stood before him and then he let his smirk fall a little, though he still smiled, a slight twinkle in his eye.
"And why do you want to know? Surely this is good for him? Getting out more?"
Lalna dropped the tablets and syringes on the floor in front of the reaper and folded his arms.
"He left these behind. We both know what could happen if he doesn't have any. We both know how dangerous he could be, to not only himself... but anyone he comes into contact with."
The reaper dropped his smile completely and began pacing slowly, back and forth.
"I wouldn't worry too much about that. I resupplied him when he was here the other day."
"You saw him?!" Honeydew asked, a little relieved. "How was he?! Was he mad?! Was he ok?!"
The reaper put up a hand to signal to the dwarf to be quiet, and then, with his arms behind his back in a grand posture, not unlike the ones he usually held, he began to tell them what happened.
"I saw him moping on a rock outside. He's done it before when the tessla coils have been turned off so I decided not to take too much interest... that is, until I noticed that he was still getting shocked by them. Well, I had heard some shouting previously so I deduced what had happened, and decided to pay him a little friendly visit."
"I swear to Notch if you hurt him-!" Honeydew said.
"I do not have to help you if you do not wish but I suggest you shut your mouth and let me explain." Ridge said, a little harsher then the dwarf found comfortable. "As, I was saying. I decided to pay him a friendly visit, I could tell he was being hostel, so I approached a bit more cautiously than usual. At first I decided a bit of fun might calm his mood, but when he told me to go to hell I deduced that there was something else he needed."

------------

Xephos gasped and kneeled on the floor for a moment, being out in the open was a relief, especially after scaling the wall to the second crevice. He finally looked around and gathered that he had gone too far past the site where the explosion had taken place. Not that he was complaining of course, he wanted to be quite a ways from his so called 'friends' if he was to build his new base. He stood up, looked around at the golden field of slowly swaying hay in the tranquil dark of the night. It was quite peaceful here. If not for the slight whirring sound that pierced his eardrums slightly. What was this distant sound? He had heard it before... Oh shit... mine cart...

*------*------*

He looked back down at the track in front of him. Of course, he had started walking forward when a mine cart had came and knocked him back. He'd hit his head on the floor and passed out. The sun rise must have woken him from his unconscious state. He looked across the Wheatfield, the sun bouncing from the golden clusters and blinding him slightly. There were heat waves rising still, but he decided to make the most of it. After all, it was better than being stuck in the bottom of a bunker.
He could hear the whirring sound again, and attempted to jump out of the way. However, this mine cart was at least three times the size of any normal one, and knocked him back further than he had expected. He tippled on the side of the crevice for a second before feeling himself fall back. But then, something grabbed the front of his shirt. It, no, they, were strong.
"Careful there Xephos." A friendly voice came as the new man pulled him up.
