Honeydew looked up as the sky turned dark. Something was happening... Something bad.
------------
"Now just swipe your finger across the map where you wanna shoot the meteor." Ridge said, and Xephos did as he was told.
------------
A few seconds later the sky opened and a blazing ball of rock surrounded by fire rained across the city, smashing straight into the side of the city in front of him. Honeydew jumped up and took a few steps back, staring at the mess in front of him. He opened his eyes wide, struggling to comprehend what was happening straight in front of his eyes. The heavens were raining down fire. And what was worse, the fire and rocks didn't stop. They wouldn't stop. The gods were angry.
------------
"Alright Xephos I think you got it." Ridge said, watching as the spaceman continued to throw his hand across the map, sending down more and more meteors. "XEPHOS." The spaceman stopped, resting his hands on the side of the table and panting. "Well I think its safe to assume you're pretty angry about what happened before..."
"My best friend sent me to my death..." He said quietly, looking down at the table.
"...I think its time I showed you where the gym is. You need to relax a bit and get out your anger. Come on, after that were going to do some other stuff." Ridge said. The spaceman nodded slowly and followed the reaper out of the room.
------------
Half an hour later Ridge walked into the gym once again and over to where the spaceman was. He was punching a punch bag, no shirt on, some fingerless boxing gloves. He was concentrating on punching with precision, hard and fast. Quick as he could, getting out his anger as best he could. The reaper squinted at him, at least he knew one of the reasons why the gods wanted him to join them. He cleared his throat. The spaceman stopped, resting against the bag and panting. "Having fun?" The reaper asked.
"Not really..." The spaceman panted back, turning round and leaning back against the bag. "What's up?" He grabbed a bottle of water and downed half of it before spraying some on his face.
"Feeling a little better?"
He nodded back.
"Follow me." The reaper said and walked out. Xephos followed him, grabbing his clothes on the way out.
They walked to a room where there were four circles on the floor and matching on the ceiling.
"What's this room for..." Xephos asked, pulling his jacket over his shoulders, without bothering to button up his top or waistcoat first.
"This is the way we get down to the earth. Were going to see what you just did to that city. And I'm going to teach you why that necessarily isn't a good thing." Ridge answered. "Now, as your powers grow stronger and you 'level up' you're going to be able to do more things yourself, for example you'll be able to go down to the earth without all of this hassle in this room." He continued to explain.
"Wait... Were... Going down there?" The spaceman asked.
"Yes. We need to see what you just did. It's alright just seeing the screen and map and throwing disaster after disaster at the people down there. Until you see it up close." Ridge said, powering up a machine. "Now... Let's go."
------------
Honeydew stared at the fire in front of him, watching the civilians if the city burn and die. Some of his friends who had gone there on holiday now dead right before his eyes. Suddenly, there was something moving around atop the hill to the left of him. He slowly turned to see the reaper Ridgedog, and someone else next to him... This other person was taller, and not a lot of people were taller then Ridge... He gasped as he realised who it was.
------------
"You see what I mean?" Ridge asked, pointing down to the destruction before them. "Like I said, seeing it up close is a lot different..."
"Its... Its..." Xephos said, staring forward.
The reaper turned to see a familiar person running towards them. "Beautiful..."
Ridge stared up at the spaceman for a moment, shocked at what he had just heard.
"Xe-" he began.
"XEPHOS!" Honeydew shouted. "XEPHOS!" He ran over, panting and looking up with wide eyes at the tall spaceman. Who didn't look best pleased. He was frowning, fire in his eyes. The dwarf hardly recognised him, the different clothes, the messy hair, the way he stood tall, looking down at the village then back to the dwarf. "Xeph, I'm so glad you're alive!" The dwarf rambled, but then was cut short as the spaceman threw a fist at him, then continued to do it, punching him as fast as he could, even faster than in the gym.
"I. AM. NOT. ALIVE!" He yelled back. "I will NEVER by alive thanks to YOU!" He continued to punch the dwarf, knocking him over, tackling him to the floor and climbing over him, punching even more, scratching, attempting to get out his anger. The sky became dark once again and crackled with fire. "You killed me! You destroyed me! You, you!"
Ridge pulled the spaceman away, holding him back as he continued to try and get a the dwarf who was scrambling to his feet. "Didn't know what he was doing." The reaper said. "I was watching." The spaceman panted with anger, seething as he glared down at the dwarf. He stood up tall once again, clenching his fists and suddenly more meteors rained down behind them and Honeydew looked up at his friend, who had hate in his eyes and obviously in his heart.
"Xephos! I'm... I'm so sorry! I didn't know what I was doing! I... I thought I was helping!" He said. "I didn't know what I was doing!" He cried, sobbing loudly. "I didn't... I don't... I'm... I'm..." He cried, not even holding back his tears. The spaceman's eyes eased up a little and the sky cleared. "I didn't mean to! I didn't! I jus... I just wanted to help! I..." He breathed hard for air. "I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry..." He cried.
The spaceman looked down at him and then turning away, running his hand through his hair and rubbing his eyes. He sat down, bringing his legs up to his chest and putting his head in his hands and gripping his air. He coughed out a small sob and felt the tears trickle down his cheeks. There was a hand on his shoulder, he knew it was the dwarf. He coughed up more tears. "I'm dead..." He sobbed quietly. The dwarf put his arm around him and hugged him. "I'm... Dead..."
