Tears streamed down his cheeks as the pain showed no signs of stopping, he fell to the right of the bed, clutching at his side and trying not to yell in agony as he continued to hurt. Blood trickled down his chin from his open mouth as the pain began to slow and he began to blank out, feeling weak.
That was when the dwarf came back in with a plate of food. He immediately dropped it and rushed to the spaceman's side, turning his friends head to face him. "Xeph?!"
The spaceman groaned, his head and eyelids feeling heavy. He coughed on the blood that still sat at the back of his throat and let himself fall. The dwarf caught him and made sure he didn't hurt himself on the floor, before standing up and running out to get Lalna.
The scientist came back in followed by the dwarf and he kneeled down next to the spaceman, readjusting his goggles as he did so.
"Xeph... What's wrong?" He asked, pulling up a cloth and wiping the blood away after propping the spaceman back up against the bed.
"You said... That I was only overworking... Myself..." The spaceman whispered back, breathing heavily. He gave a small shake of his head before turning to the side and throwing up again.
"What's wrong with him?!" Honeydew asked, panicked.
"I'm not sure..." Lalna answered, pulling a syringe out of his pocket as the spaceman fell back, passed out into his arms. "But..." He put the syringe to the spaceman's neck and pierced his skin, pulling back the part and sucking up some of the mans strange blood. "I'm going to find out..."
