At first the dwarf was relieved to be in the water, even if his side hurt from hitting it with such force from the drop. The soothing feeling of the water made him feel relaxed, unlike the bright lights from the cages they were just in, that burnt his dwarven skin. But after letting the water sooth his aching body he realised that his space-friend was still unconscious and would drown if no-one helped him.

Lalna swam to the top of the pool and took a massive gulp of air down, letting it fill his lungs. He swam over to the side of the pool as he saw Honeydew and Xephos fall as well. At first his dwarven friend didn't show any intentions of swimming to the surface and breathing, but as the scientist leaned fall wards ready to jump in after him, the dwarf immerged. He took a breath and then swam back down again to the aid of the spaceman.

Xephos felt something pushing against every side of his lanky body and felt like he was sinking. Opening his eyes slowly and tiredly he could see the blurry image of a bright light above him and around him, darkness. He had started breathing before he awoke and his lungs were full of the freezing cold water that now pushed his contacts out of his eyes. Two beams of sparkling blue shot up through the water as Honeydew dove down to help his friend. Lalna looked in confusion and then realised what the lights were. The dwarf came back up to the surface, not able to reach his friend when he dove in. How was he going to help him?!
The spaceman could feel the air leaving his lungs, the feeling lost from around his limbs and the life leaving his body. But all he could do was stay in the same position and let himself be taken, sinking further and further form the light. The blue lights flickered from on the surface of the water, Honeydew kept trying to reach his drowning friend, but it was no use, the spaceman had fallen too far through the deep pit of ice cold water. Was he going to die? Honeydew felt water running down his face, was it tears? Or just the water dripping down from his helmet?
The scientist stared at the fading lights until they went out completely. He then bowed his head in respect for the great spaceman's life as the sorrowful dwarf made his way over and sat next to him. Lalna stared at the water for a moment in disbelief before turning to Honeydew, his mouth open to speak. No words came out. He had nothing to say to help comfort his small friend who had taken off his helmet and had his head buried in his hands.
They sat there for a few mournful moments before conveying there surroundings and cleaning themselves up. Lalna decided to let the goggles drop around his neck as he looked slowly around the room. It was a strange shape, the bottom curved inwards but with a massive pit and water. The surface of the liquid was clear blue and tranquil, but as it got deeper it appeared to turn pitch black from the darkness. The walls were white and sterile looking like a hospital and about half way up the walls to where the cells they were being contained in were there were windows that lead into more cages, though no-one was visible from where the two men were sitting they could still see silhouettes through the glass.
They saw no way out of the room but down. The scientist placed the goggles back onto his blonde hair and decided to break the silence by suggesting that they tried to find a way out or a secret passage hidden in the walls. Just as he spoke a stairway to the front of where they were sitting opened. They had no choice it was either this way, the way the mad men above them had planned and wanted them to go, or down to the bottom of the pit like Xephos.
