Description
Ok so after the last post I have something to add.I don't want to be one of those fans that just goes along with the members and not the fanbase because a lot of the time the fanbase make the youtubers. And it's the same with this.
IF it did happen as everyone had said I agree, everyone should have told Sjin to stop. Instead of just letting it slide and ignoring it. If it did happen then we should support the fans who have been effected. If it did happen then yes being angry at Lewis and Turps makes sense because they told victims to fuck off when the victims are just trying to draw light to it and warn people.
I know that it can be difficult for people to come forward and say that someone did something like this to them, I understand the girls positions here as well. And I don't want people to think I was just purely defending Sjin. Because f he did do those things then it is disgusting. And if he did do them I believe it would be better for him to come forward, admit to it, apologise (as far as that would get you...) To any and all victims, and never do it again. Because if it has been dragged his far then he's pulled all the people he works with into it, he's dragged Lewis and Turps in and caused them to be aggressive towards fans, and he is using them to hide behind which is putting them in a bad light, instead of just coming forward and admitting to it, and promising to never do it again unless the person is giving full permission.
In my last post I wasn't trying to discredit the girls that this may have happened to. I don't like change and to suddenly see one day that one of my favourite youtubers has had these accusations against him has upset me. But at the same time like I've said, if they are true then the girls effected need more support than people like me do. I'm just someone who can't stand change.
But as I said before, these could have been girls manipulating him as well... I'm not saying it was but it could have been. As far as I can see it's mostly on Twitter, Snapchat and messenger the 'messages' that he and the girls would send each other. They could have sent pictures first and Sjin might have responded with other pictures, same with messages. I'm really not trying to defend anyone in this, I just like to think of all possibilities.
I think it is important to note that no matter how much someone is pestering you for a picture or something, you say no. If they don't stop harassing you, drop all contact with them. End it all and don't contact them again. If they somehow manage to find another way to message you, go to the police.
In no circumstance, whether it's a youtuber or someone you look up to or not, do NOT send a picture back.
If they're starting to scare you then tell someone about it.
I've been on the receiving end of guys asking for pictures multiple times, sometimes they've been people I'm close to, people who are my friends. And in those situations - at about 12-13 years old when they first started - it's difficult to understand what to do.
I never actually sent a picture to any of them thank God, but once to get one of them to shut up I found a random picture on the internet and sent that. And at the time it didn't seem like a big deal but when I think back now it still means that that guy thought it was me. And that he could have been... Doing stuff with that picture, pretending it was me. And that just... I don't like that.
Never send pictures. Even if the guy or woman is in a position of power. Or someone you look up to.
Ok this might come out wrong, but if Sjin had been asking these girls, they should have stopped, thought about it, and declined. By sending the pictures or flirty texts back, you're not sending the message that it's not OK. And yes I know that's something he should know already.
In the end it depends what the verdict is... If Sjin is guilty he should personally apologise to all those he's wronged and Lewis and Turps and whoever else should also apologise for knowing about this stuff that was going on and not saying anything to Sjin or trying to get him to stop.
If it isn't true then like I said before, the girls have pretty much won because they got what they wanted.
I go onto Twitter and see everyone who just a few days ago were the biggest fans of the yogscast, saying that they're not gonna watch ANY of their videos anymore. This whole situation is... Extremely serious and a really fragile topic.
If it's true then support the victims yes. Help them through what they've gone through and be there for them. But don't stop watching the 'lesser' yogs as they're known as. Because they might not have even known what was going on. And wait for Sjin to say his apology. It will be up to everyone else who decides to accept. I probably would... I know that'll get me a lot of hate, but I would probably accept the apology and then if the situation arises again I would stop watching.
If it isn't true, then the yogs would have already lost so many subscribers just due to the aligations. So did other youtubers when they were accused of the same thing. If it isn't true then don't go and continue to hate the yogscast because of it.
I must admit with the words told by Minty and other people who were or are close to Sjin and the others it's looking more and more like Sjin is guilty. But he hasn't been proven to be yet. So just give it time and see what happens...
Hopefully this whole thing will blow over...
Sorry to anyone who may be upset or annoyed with me for these posts...
And I am sorry to the victims if it does turn out to be true...
If it doesn't, I'm sorry to Sjin.
But if for some reason Sjin ends up reading this;
Sjin. If you are guilty, admit to it. If you have already been found out as being guilty, then apologise to the girls (or boys) you've wronged. And don't start doing it again. Because you're effecting all of your friends with this as well. Enough is enough and it's time to stop.
I know an apology might not be enough, but it's a step.
Quite a few fans might feel the same way as me, and be willing to forgive you and continue to watch your videos, but you need to take responsibility instead of letting your friends speak for you, and apologise to those people effected by it.;
That's only if he is guilty.
If.
Again, while everything seems to point to him being guilty... We just don't know for definite.
Sorry to everyone who now hates me. I might have ruined my deviantART community and the Foxling community for my YouTube and everything else in general...
I hope not but...
Like I said before I just want to see the best in people...

If things aren't solved soon, there's going to be fallout...And it's going to be horrible for everyone who wasn't even involved.
People are not going to judge things right...People are moved by fear and hatred...And Lewis' and Turps' behavior is the first step in that.
The fandom is going to self-mutilate itself because no one knows who to trust.
I personally would rather not trust those three instead of attacking the fandom as it is. A lot of people in this fandom collaborated in charity events, for fuck's sakes!
A lot of people here have done good and don't deserve to go through what's going to come out of this.
Most of all...I just worry about what'll happen to the underyogs....This can't be good for anyone, specially not some of the nicer Yogs like Zoey and Nilesy...

I had this conversation with my friend earlier. We agree on the fact that Lewis and Turps were in the wrong with what they said. And that people are allowed to react however they want to that.
I did mention that people on tumblr and Twitter and everything are purely against watching ALL yogscast members, and that's something that's aggravated me because the 'lesser' yogs didn't do anything and probably didn't know anything about the situation.
I understand if people won't want to watch the specific members involved, because it is a very touchy subject. And I understand if some people or most people won't want to read my stories anymore, because I plan to keep all characters involved...
I guess everyone has a different way of dealing with this friend, and I apologise if I upset you by posting these points of view... I havnt picked a side, I just hope that it all gets resolved soon.

I'm not upset at you, just really aggravated because this is horrible for all involved and those who aren't because a lot of people will look at the Yogs as one singular cell.
People like Hat Films, Zoey, Nilesy, Rythian, Kim and Hannah, etc, who were either not involved or trying to do the right thing are equally as screwed because they're part of the company.
It irks me that shit will go badly regardless of intentions.

I agree friend, which is one of the things I'm worried about. Either way if he is innocent the company in general has gotten a lot of bad press and the channels with less subscribers are being punished for something thy didn't even know was happening. If he is guilty it's the same thing except that thyll be a bad stigma around all of he yogscast because the fans won't know who to trust

I don't know what to do.
I genuinely love the yogs...But the shitty attitude is bad and the fandom is currently tearing itself apart on tumblr.
I'm starting to actually lose it because of nerves. I'm running out of energy to stay angry so I'm just feeling stressed enough to cause my stomach to flip.

I've been the same since I hear about it, I've been really stressed and my mates don't fully understand why... Even though I've tried to explain.
I guess I'm just too big a fan to try and believe it's actually happening... I still feel like it isn't. But it happens and we don't have to take sides at all. At least not until we figure out what's going on. For now it's a problem for them to sort out. And fast, it's not something for us fans to be arguing about

The Yogs fandom is important to us, which is why it hurts so badly.
We need to wait this out, it's the only option.
