Description Wouldn`t put photos of dead herps on usually, would bury them and but this skeleton of a royal python was on display in a zoo - thought it was amazing!

I know what you mean - I definitely prefer snakes alive, but at the same time I think their skeletons are soo beautiful and fascinating. There's just something mesmerizing about them.

wow, it looks like the tip of their body is a tail.

Ok, that probably sounds silly. What I meant was near the end of the skeleton, what looks like ribs attached to the spinal column tapers from large to, small, to very small to just a spinal column.

Yes, snake skeletons are beautiful because humans normally find symmetry beautiful, and what's more symmetrical than all those rib pairs?
