I hate most YouTube intros and I skip over most of them unless the situation is like "Oh my God! What's the name of this song, I love it!"
But most of the time it's just a bunch of random anime or video game cutscene, etc. clips with J-rock/Linkin Park/Three Days Grace/-insert any other generic "emo" rock band here-. And sometimes they're 1 minute or longer. Jesus Christ...

To be honest, I don't like any intros any more. Unless it's really fucking good to the point where I'm like "Lol, whazzat song, I want it."
But either way, they tend to get in the way, especially if they're music videos and you want to download them into mp3's. >.>

The Youtube intros I hate most are the ones with generic japanese pop music playing with terrible quality Sailor Moon or Tokyo Mew Mew clips that everyone and their grandma has already used for their YT intros. At least the YT intros with metal music helps you vent a little instead of just being left to rage silently (or curse out the computer screen) all the while wondering when the effing video is going to start.
But honestly, either way YT intros are entirely unecessary. The work the users are showing off doesn't even rightfully belong to them half the time. It's really only necessary for fan-made animations, imo.

Aw gee, I hate those too. I also hate really suddenly loud obnoxious youtube intros. :< They aren't necessary. Most that have one, unless the music is effing good, I leave immediately. Cause I have no patience.

I only sit through those annoying youtube intros if I what I searched for was extremely hard to find. It's still annoying either way, of course. What's even worse is if the videos with youtube intros have horrible quality. That's like adding insult to injury.

Short intros are fine. Intros like single-colored background with "name" presents:

Good intros are hard to come by. Most intros I've seen are 30+ second-long crappy Naruto AMVs with J-rock or Linkin Park blasting out-of-sync with what's going on.

I don't mind decent intros. IF they're short and well-made, sure, I'll deal.
But if it's loud, obnoxious, and lasts 30 seconds (I've seen ones that last over a fucking minute), I don't care how badly I want to watch it, I will hit the back button with the force of an angry god.

Alice made a Death Note AMV with dramatic music (like Within Temptation). The intro was clips of Naruto in sync to a Linkin Park song while the screen says "CattyBearXOX pictures presents..."

I'm okay with fitted music, a decent colored background/graphic and it's tastefully conveyed in like 10-20 seconds. I hate loud obnoxious and overdone intros that have anime clips.
