It's been awhile hasn't it?I created this one with a thought of creating a web-layout at first. Then the more I worked on it, I thought it'd look good just as an artwork. So I continued on... Done everything in Photoshop 7. No filters other than the 'noise' filter. I also only used the default brushes (round ones) and a pen tool. Flowers were also drawn/illustrated/painted in Photoshop.
***I wish I had a tablet. It would make my artsy life 10000X easier to do this kind of stuff. ***
Concept : Realistic vector based artwork.
Symbolize : my memories in text, behing a torn and used cover. I called it Dearest which explains those memories to me.
Colors : static and calm represents my feelings at the time I was making it.
Overal meaning : Flowers represents myself as a person, how I love to make people happy. Calm and passionate (red touches in flowers with the cool color surrounding. You can see.. warm and cool at the same time.. Which is me in general. I can be very welcoming and friendly.. yet I can be very distant as well.

it's just... ... ... i dont think i have words to express it but I'll try anyway, it's calm, so beautiful, thoughtful, just...i dunno, complete. i love the cut newspaperthingie and you DREW those flowers??? *WITHOUT* an artpad?!!??! *faints*
This could also do as a weblayout like you thought first but it works much better like just an artwork
I think it could even do as a ... um...what's the word... you know these pictures that's softened down in letterpaper...it often has some soft picture and smells nice... maybe you should think about making them into that and sell to people. I know i would buy them if i had the money! I just love everything about it! Even that it's yellow! and i dont really like yellow that much... well not as a backgroundcolor anyway. But this... this is just... WOW.

It's funny how some of us find those on the net that we've admired from afar for so long .. after a while we start to feel and treat them as if they are celebrities or something.. too intimidated to say a word.. like being star struck or something.

I started out learning webdesign way before I got into photomanipulation (my poor neglected website - [link] ).. and since you are one of the most talented webdesigners and brush Goddesses of all time, that's how I came to know of you and your work. So yes, it thrills me to death to hear you say such sweet things about my manipulations. 
I'm sure if you just dip your hand into photomanipulations you will just as easily become a "fantasy manip guru".. since like I said before you're so good at everything you do. (and I know you are great at painting; I've seen your flowers you've painted from scratch!
