I adore how so much is revealed about their characters with so little. you make the poses flow (seemingly) so effortlessly, and the expression is crystal clear, impossible to misinterpret.
It's so nice to come back onto dA and see that you're still cranking out wonderful art.

You are way too kind. I'm glad you got that from these two, cause I wasn't too sure I hit the mark with what I was aiming for. I'm still a pretty poor hand at two people interacting in one picture.
D'aaawww, you flatterer. Happy to be a positive part of your return.

Pffft. Poor hand? I don't THINK so. I don't see any poor hand anywhere. Pshaw, woman. You still outshine me and you don't even try.

You make me feel unwarrantably warm and fuzzy, dear girl. No one with your magic coloring skills should ever feel outside their weight class with me.

Magic coloring skills? Oh, truly, you flatter me. xD But touche nonetheless.

A very, very difficult pose to pull off well, yet you seem to be able to show this with ease... the contrast between their expressions is amazing!

Believe me, there was very little ease involved with this pose. Lots of erasing and at least three different references speak to that. But that it comes off that way is a compliment on its own.

Then you have a great deal of talent at flowing things together, and making it seem very natural.

Love the surprise on her face and love the more up close view of Thrace! He's a hottie!
I also love how he seems to be enclosing her. Lovely, dearie.
(btw: reading a book now--between sleeping and working -- which I think you might like. Of course, it's you, so you might've already either read it or seen it and discarded it as not worthy of your time, but it's making me LMAO and the plot has kept me plenty interested. Called, "A Dirty Job" by Christopher Moore.
You should check it out if you haven't. There's this character in it, Lily, that ends up reminding me a bit of you. At first, she's young and stupid and pretentious all in a kind of adorable way - not like, STUPID stupid, you know? Like just kid stupid. Now, she's older and all that's left is the fun, snarky wit and totally fun, sarcastic and surprisingly loyal bitch. Just to give you an idea, in one part, she staples a guy's forehead for being an idiot and doing something stupid and then not listening to her when she was ordering him to fix it. Twice.)

Thrace is a hottie; I don't quite understand it. And yeah, Ash can be marvelously oblivious about certain things, and when they become unaoidbly obvious she's ungracefully surprised.
I've not heard of the book that I can recall, but I'll definitely look it up at work tomorrow.

What's not to understand? He's a hottie. He exudes hottie-ness.
I finished reading the book, and I'm not too sure about what I feel of hte ending. It wasn't disappointing, per se, but kind of unecessary I felt. The very, very, very last thing, up until that, everything else I enjoyed. (Won't tell you more to not spoil you in case you read it).
But it was thoroughly irreverent and funny.
