They use telepathy with those with whom they have a deep emotional connection. Otherwise, they basically make kitty noises. The species reference has been updated; you can check there for useful information

i'm hoping it'll be this week some time when I'm fully able to get things going. getting back into the cycle of work is the small challenge I have to face. but once I'm good to go I'll be on track again! Can't wait to see theses doodle comics too! :>
