Most people who visit the shrine of Bari Imam, usually offer a Degh (Cauldron) of Pilaf (rice) to the Sufi Saint. This Degh/ rice is distributed to all visitors at the shrine, rich and poor alike. Eating food that has been offered at the shrine is considered lucky as it has the blessing of the Saint, and never to be declined. There is a constant flow of visitors to the shrine and a constant flow of very delicious food. This has given rise to the business of cooking deghs around the shrine.
