Artist Description: Well I mostly worked on this painting everything so there were no brushes that were used for painting the bricks and grasses. Only exceptions are the vine moss like plants as it helps give the visualization to give shape for it. Building are always one of my weakness so for me this is a large improvement that I am very satisfy with as well has the mare's pose was one of the things i tend to struggle with when I draw horses. (please excuse my tired eyesight I shall edit and correct and add word that missing to this tomorrow.)

A legends speaks of a majestic onyx mare who can always be seen through out the land of appearing at abandoned castles in Europe. It has been told that long ago the mare was sold from one lord to the next only due to her stubborn temperament that she change hands so many times through out her life. Even with her beauty, many of her past owners would often mistreat her and keep her fed only every other day as long as she were to keep up her reluctant to be broken.

Decades pass and as she was sold to her new master, of course from her previous experience she had given up hope for a kind well treated owner. The owner was a Persian count who was born in Halfeti, Turkey and after begin away from his birth place when he left home decades ago the elderly man wanted to retire and live out the rest of his days in Halfeti. One day he was told about an auction that was recommended to him my a old associate, he proceeded to attend the auction. Upon browsing around at what was up for bidding his sight fell on a tall and sleek mare. There was just something about her that allured him to her and as he stood there in trance a thought accrued to him. She reminded him of the Black roses that were grown in Halfeti but the problem was that the look in her eyes were dull as if she wasn't really alive. The elderly count felt sadden by the this, he wanted to show her how much she could shine if she was knew the meaning of begin alive and on that day she was bought by the count as they shipped her to his hometown.

As she was transported to her new home the coming weeks the black mare would treat the count with an aloof attitude only coming toward him whenever for hygiene, food, and water when necessary. Even when he called her by the name he had given her she would ignore him. Slowly but surely a bond had blossom as she got to know the count a few years later and she accepted begin called Narsin of Halfeti. He had proven to the mare that he was not like the rest of her past owners who were cruel and greedy. From then on the mare did everything with him from taking a quiet stroll at dawn, taking care of watering his garden and much more things happen along the way. As another two decade past by living with the count the mare had opened up herself to be very spirited with a gentle nature underneath that cold facade. Nothing could have made her happier then just begin by the counts' side. Narsin was so caught up in living in the moment she had forgotten one crucial thing. He was a human and like all humans he would eventually whither away from old age and for a creature like herself who hasn't age in centuries that meant she would be all alone again...

They say that after the count passed away the heart broken mare one day disappear not long after his funeral, never to be seen again in Halfeti...

Many theories are told of what had happen to Narsin. One of the the story tell of how after the counts death she had left to travel back to revisit all of the previous owners land staying at each castle a few years before going towards the next one. As if she was repeating her life all over again, who know maybe the mare has gone back to the count's castle as kids coming to their parents telling of a tale of how they saw a magestic onxy mare gazing at the counts abandon castle...
