First of all, his body looks way skinnier and smaller than Spike's body which makes him look like if he was a female. Guys has a bit thicker waist than females, so in this case he would've looked like a male if he had the same or bigger body size and thickness as Spilke. Male waist doesn't curve like how Thorax's waist does in this image, male waists are straight. Also if we look the shape of the chest area from the stomach to the neck it clearly seems how his chest curves like how female chests does from a side view. That's actually not that big of an issue but still it makes a distinguishable look.
Hope this somewhat helped. I'm no professional at drawing male and female body structures, but I'm sure that the criticisms I gave are accurate.
