Description
He may be the world's largest land carnivore, but not even he can stop global warming. Polar bears are not endangered, but their existence is becoming increasingly fragile. Polar bears are excellent swimmers; however, higher temperatures melt vital ice bridges to solid land masses. These creatures are literally drowning because they have nowhere to go. Human pollution and overfishing destroy the nutritional resources needed by polar bears, resulting in starvation. If female bears do not have enough fat, they aren't able to support cubs.Global warming (glohΒ·bal wormΒ·ing), n, is the average increase of Earth's atmospheric and oceanic temperatures due to excess emission of greenhouse gases. It is synonymous with loss of climatic equilibrium, habitat destruction, rising sea levels, and extreme weather. This isn't meant to be an ultra-liberal call to destroy harmful corporate influences or to demean the current governmental administration, but to encourage everyone to be proactive in their own lives to prevent climate change.

FACT, their population has increased majorly in the last couple years.
Global warming has been happening forever, why is now that we are paying attention?
Not attacking, your picture makes sense, i just didn't want the kiddos to get the wrong impression by "their existence is fragile" thing - which it is, just not in a numbers matter.
Lovely piece of work, seriously, your a talented individual my friend. SRSLY(:

AW poor little bear! So, I would absolutely love it if you would help co-author an ocean conservation blog. We've just started out so there is only two of us but we're looking for talent! If you want to it's here <[link] Just send me a message on deviant and tell me your email so I can send you the invite.

Yes it is a fantastic piece of design, as 'xxPassion' said; I also try to save an do my part in the smallest things, one figures a bit here and there is good, my family is always annoyed cos I just won't leave them be (about lights, water and all that stuff).
And back on subject, did you happen to see that Tv Special about the bears, from the producers of Planet Earth? damn it really makes you sad.

I appreciate your comment! Thank you. I have seen the Planet Earth piece from "Pole to Pole" on the mother polar bear and her cubs. That actually really inspired me as I was making this.

Fantastic idea, Nyx. It's truly sad. I try my hardest to save energy, water, and recycle, but there are so many people (especially the large companies) that don't, and won't until it's too late...

Thank you . It is truly a shame because governments need to intervene and impose regulations on corporations if we really want to dramatically halt global warming.
