It's a bit of a coincidence you writing this. This picture is in a song i found on youtube and it took me some time to find it. There are some links in the description, but none of them are direct.
That picture is yust adorable. On my imagination, only a few seconds before Luna has her muzzle on Celestia's neck again. -Or the other way. Or both.

I did a Google search for "luna forgiven" and this came at the top of the list. A very beautiful painting that depicts redemption, forgiveness and reconciliation.
I notice that a lot of bronies have a very hard time with the fact that Princess Luna was forgiven even after all she did as Nightmare Moon. They can't believe Lauren Faust actually dared to suggest villains could change and become good. Or like in the biblical story of The Prodigal Son, wayward ones can return to the fold. This goes against our natural instinct for vengeance, punishment and the annihilation of evildoers. You don't expect such profound concepts in a kids' show, especially one meant to sell toys or created by an animator known for her off-the-wall wacky humor. I suggest daring to depict such higher and nobler ideas are among the many reasons FIM has become such a wildly popular show.

well , different stories different characters I suppose.After all...It's a show for kids......I think that from celectia's and luna's story we have to see that we must be able to forgive each other......moses and rameses was a different case.
