0liver's species is actually a relatively 'hidden' race that had only begun to make an appearance in sparse socities within the last few years. very little is known merely for their strictly seclusive nature, and, therefore, little to no studies have been conducted. furthermore, since these creatures actually act and live as individuals as opposed to groups, a firm title for their 'ethnicity' varies depending on the individual, their preferences, values, etc.
notable characteristics of this species include their strange appearance and habits: they adopt the form of - for the most part - a typical human body composed of mainly firm cartlidge and tissues, being their blunt teeth and skull the only bones in their body. this allows their jaws to part, unhinge, and stretch until the entire torso and waist appears to be swallowed by a large mouth with the legs servings as its front limbs and arms the back - enabling transportation. their height then increases at least three times their human body and the roof of the mouth splits into two from the middle. in all, the creature is something similar to one, large, invertedly contorted, and mobile mouth that might even resemble something as similar as a normal crocodile.
these creatures reproduce asexually, limiting variety, and methods of reproduction prevent rapid growth ( as young are carried within a flesh-like egg and thin embryo the large cavern of the mouth for six - seven years that both limit and require a great deal of material, energy, and strength by the mother in order to support, carry, and especially give birth plus a very short lifespan to the rarely sought seventy year limit ). however, depending on their location and nurishment during the process of development, bone structures of the skull and jaw do vary and provide some form of individuality. diets are particularly herbivorous, and actually cannot process proteins efficiently. most prefer a very soft-based diet and drink in place of meals, if not eat very small quantities that otherwise seem inhumane to most others. skin color comes in only two schemes regardless of location: a dulled/caramel brown and dusted green. this determines a the creature's 'gender,' according to 0liver.

strongly independent, but is very well accustomed to smaller groups. he is a little awkward in social interaction and with adapting to what is considered ordinary mannerisms and actions, so he can often come off as odd, unorthodox, or even blunt. however, he is unknowingly stubborn, and with his strong sense of individuality, it makes it all the harder for him to conform to more 'natural' actions. despite this, he is rather kindhearted and is often the first to spark a new conversation with peers/strangers. his body disables him from engaging in rigorous activity and battle, but he is highly observant, sly, and wise with his usage of words that helps build a two-faced front - a very beneficial quality during his lifetime as a former member of an underground mob in tartaros. curiosities hold little of his concern, but he does take great interest in woodcrafting and interior design, which later helps build his cover as the founder of the successful company ku'chong within the styx district. he is very static as a person, so he comes to find little development in action, ability, and especially personality.

0liver was carried for a sum of eight years before being regurgitated by his mother, whom carries the same name Oliver, and only cared for three additional years before parting from the single parent. his heritage is a little muddled, for his mother was in fact an english man, but was born adopting a mix of african, indian, and some american-esque qualities simply due to what was seen as fit. as custom to his species, bodily development into adulthood was completed by the age of seven ( disregarding the eight spent in the womb ) and found a place in the depths of tartaros and remained in hiding for another ten years. at seventeen, the peak of his youth, he found reason to gather an actual appearance in society and began entering the desolated streets- finally being spotted and engaging in brief interactions by other living beings for the first time in ten years. he later crossed the hands of a small mob that had just began developing and was pursuing both members and firm connections to allow their business in drug cartel to grow. at first, 0liver was seen as just another desperate individual from the streets, but, by showing his dedication to the head of the group and, surprisingly, little conversing thanks to his strong speaking abilities, he quickly became another member and was often used as a spy and smuggler when handling the illegal substances.
while in the mob, he helped greatly improve relations between rivaling companies and gangs alike, affirmed beneficial connections, and, most importantly, gathered all trust from each member of the group as well as the leader himself. however, he was known for secretly engaging in practices with enemies that aided them in similar ways. due to these known instances, only two in particular out of the many, he had his middle toe cut off and divided in reference to the split roof of the mouth his true-er form adapted (his body only carried three large toes to begin with ). he lost much trust following these instances between dedicated member to dedicated member, but held on stronger relations anyway with a select few and was only kept by the leader because he was their main resource as far as communication between districts, gangs, and drug dealers went.
later down the line, he collected a young tendaji from an enemy shipment of goods just outside the tataros district and was held in charge of his care from henceforth by the leader. through the next few years, he remained strong in their illicit practices as he raised tendaji to become a great symbol of pride from within the group- as well as keeping his appearance prestine as to add a greater level of 'edge' and 'value' to the mob as they became more and more prominent in their ranks. this, among years of experience and building, the mob found a place in the district of limbo where the mob remained fully functional, but members were given and provided support from their collective wealth to begin individual businesses/find a place of living as to further blend in to their environment and live comfortably with this disguise as the typical citizen of the district. 0liver, still in the current care of a more matured tendaji, were among the very few who successfully opened a small business with moderate success in his small shop dedicated to little wooden trinkets, clocks, and simple furnishings. with this greater advantage of gathering independence from the mob, 0liver held greater influences with rivaling drug dealings and discovered a new flux- one in which allowed him the ability to build his own illicit business while still being able to maintain his small shop. the more strength he gained, and the more wealth he collected and stored for future usage, he came to abandon the mob that foundated his standard living and invested in a life of the styx district that, at first, modestly supported both him and tendaji, but later exceeded expectation with the rapid growth of his business to a much larger scale thanks to popular recognition and taste for 0liver's art in interior fashion/crafting skill and successful investments.
now, the two currently live comfortably in luxury, yet not entirely lavished. they've obtained a considerably small home of three stories - the third being the smallest and serving as more of a business orientated area for personal crafts and storage. 0liver still very well engages in his dealings with a broad variety of illegal substances known between the three districts with his hobby in woodcrafting used as their cover. he remains the same man as where he began, just with a greater position in society with extra amounts of wealth that continues to collect and collect in their favor.

I deeply appologize for improper grammar in the details of the story as well. I want to update, and will do so as quickly as possible. work, school, and family have been my main distraction for the past year I've been absent from deviantart.
