Penne Piselli
10 oz bacon,cut into 1 c/2 inch cubes
2 tablespoon oil
1 large onion,chopped
16 oz thick cream
5 oz peas,fresh or frozen
1 lb penne
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the bacon for 3-5 minutes or until lightly colored.Add the onion and cook until soft.Drain to remove any excess oil,place the cooked bacon and onions in a saucepan and add cream.Bring to the boil,reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.Add peas to the hot cream mixture and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Cook the pasta according to the directions ,toss the sauce and grated Parmesan through the pasta.
Serves 4
