Description This is done in acrylic, I usally don't use acrylic because the colors dry dif. than what I put down. I took the photo with an old camera in a dim lit studio, sorry it's a little dark. Why is there a cockroach on the forehead? guess... it's in all of my paintings..

Guess: you're either a pest control professional, an entomologist or an expert in applied botany The roach is your signature animal, making the painting distinctively yours?

He's so fun I have to put him in my favorites gallery. I like that he has no skin on his face but still has hair. No idea about the roaches, except that the little bastards get everywhere. Very cool.

Wonderful! You've combined a Daliesque surrealism with a nightmarish sensibility to create a piece of art that's at once terrifying and more than a little humorous (I suppose some would say that it would take a sick, twisted mind to find humor in such a ghastly death's-head scene, but I plead guilty as charged ). Who could resist such a face-splitting grin across a head topped with hair that looks as if it's been trimmed with a dull axe? Who could ignore those amazingly intense lidless eyes and wonderful wispy whiskers that resemble a spider's legs? β€œtakes a deep breath” Please don't think I'm making light of your art, it's quite the opposite, I'm enjoying it immensely. I feel an almost inexplicable connection to the way you express yourself on canvas. It's a glorious ride and I'm having the time of my life.

An unusual self portrait is it not? The leaves in the backgroung that are falling off the trees are flesh colored( if the photo was better than they would stand out more) I also included the hair (on head and face) with a touch of gray since that is what I have. The chunks of flesh on the ground have fallen off just like the leaves on the trees. I wanted to poke a little fun at death since alot of persons take it so seriously. Death is a fact of Life. I like this one also, I lol when I thought of doing it. I am very happy that you enjoy my work! Do you think I need a hair cut (lol) ?

Unusual indeed, and thanks for filling in the blanks. No, I don't think you need a haircut. In this day and age of goth and various styles of shock-rock I'd say you're very much in fashion.

Utterly jaw dropping, pardon any pun as it appears his may fall soon. Your work with acrylics is outstanding...they do dry differently. Yet at the same time, they still contain a muted vibrance to them. You play them well, skilled and fine tuned, like that of a magnificent pianist. Your gallery is coming along so well. I cannot wait to see what other concoctions your mind brings about. Incubus, dear...bravo..when can we expect a print?

this truly was worth the wait. this is amazing! it kinda looks like johnny depp... mmm... thats hot. i like how the skull has a flesh neck and hair growth. the sky reminds me of happy things, but when i see the trees and the setting behind the bust, it gives me a rather "I'm depressed but im nonchalant about it" look. hmm... the roach... ill have to get back to you on that bc you said it was in all your paintings. maybe i can find a link between them. well excellent job! i love this! i hope to see more soon definitely!

Johnny depp, I hear that alot from my wife and sis ..If he had some gray in his hair. Did you notice the leaves are also flesh colored? It's had to tell from this photo. Thanks for the comment

hmm i did notice the flesh chunks on the bottom... but i wasnt aware they are leaves. hmm. i thought they were like bits and pieces falling off of his bust. interesting... they are leaves... this brings a whole new meaning for me. but i cant describe it. jeeze im cutting this comment short so i can check out your other exciting paintings!!!

The things in the foreground are face pieces, you were right. The leaves are falling off of the trees in the background.. the pic. isn't the best. I'll resubmit after I get better pics.
