Thank you so very much I'm getting to where I push myself into uncomfortable areas now. It's a bit of a challenge, but it's also really satisfying to make something that massive.

I saw this at normal size and thought "that's cool"... then I saw it at full screen and thought "fluff me, that's epic!".

The environment is perfect for that chacater, i like the similarity of shapes in the trees.

Thank you so much I'm definitely having fun setting up entire scenes instead of the regular portrait stuff I have been doing. I definitely have to render in layers though, I'm starting to get too much stuff in the scene for my PC to want to render it.

I've had to renders in layers too, and it's sometimes tricky specially for the shadows ...

IncyVortex In reply to ThierryCravatte [2013-01-14 23:53:47 +0000 UTC]

I just keep a render view camera and all lights the same, that way I can add and take away to do the separate renders, then all of the shadows work right, usually.

ThierryCravatte In reply to IncyVortex [2013-01-15 08:03:57 +0000 UTC]

I just do pretty much the same, plus a little compositing work in gimp

IncyVortex In reply to ThierryCravatte [2013-01-15 08:39:38 +0000 UTC]

I find I actually like working like that instead of a straight render, because then you can add layers between the renders for some effects and stuff.
