I applied this

[link] " />

to the "Featured Deviation" box and to my "newest Deviations" box.

But after saving it, instead of appearing as a background, it ony covers the artworks. the only thing I can see after I saved it, is the background and the icons.
I tried it actually twice or thrice but I got the same effect.
I guess it will only works in the "Custom Box"

i have tried to do this on my page and it won't work
i copied the text and inserted the weblink to the image i wanted to use
do you know why it's not working

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Indae In reply to d0ggypaws [2011-03-14 20:30:16 +0000 UTC]

Did you put the code first and then the content?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

d0ggypaws In reply to Indae [2011-03-14 20:56:04 +0000 UTC]

i thought the content went in the middle. i copied the one on the tutorial but pasted the HTML link from the website with the image on that i was going to use

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Indae In reply to d0ggypaws [2011-03-14 21:59:48 +0000 UTC]

Make sure that the code goes at the top and the content goes after it. And make sure that the link you're using is an image link, i.e. when you click it it sends you to a page with JUST an image on it.
After that it should work

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

d0ggypaws In reply to Indae [2011-03-14 22:08:50 +0000 UTC]

i tried it and it doesn't work

I'm a premium member but I have a * instead of a ~. Whats the difference between the two?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Indae In reply to rocket-child [2011-03-05 12:50:54 +0000 UTC]

A normal user has a ~ sign
A premium member has a * sign
And a beta tester has a = sign

As a premium member you have the ability to use extra functions of dA that would otherwise not be available to you. Such as the custom box's that are explained in this tutorial.

JolieBonnetteArt In reply to ??? [2011-02-18 02:21:22 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm. No idea what the heck I'm doing wrong, but I can't get it to work. I get a little bit of the code showing in the box and a tiny sliver of my image. :-/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Indae In reply to JolieBonnetteArt [2011-02-18 14:52:57 +0000 UTC]

How large is your image?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JolieBonnetteArt In reply to Indae [2011-02-18 18:24:05 +0000 UTC]

I've tried it with images up to 3000 pixels wide and 5000 long. The only time I managed to fuss with it and make the image go to the back as it was supposed to, it squished the module so I couldn't see all of the image that was being featured.

I can't seem to get my image to go behind the images(stamps, etc) I already have in my custom box. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Indae In reply to oXFrostXo [2011-02-13 18:48:59 +0000 UTC]

Are you putting the background image first and then what you want to appear on top of that after the background code?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

oXFrostXo In reply to Indae [2011-02-13 19:12:46 +0000 UTC]

I wasn't, but I am now and it works. Thanks.

The background? I'm not sure about this I advise just making a large background
