I wonder which species of dinosaur that is, the Rulon is a Viper, that much I am certain of.

I know that's what they're called in the series but it always baffled me why Rasp's race are called "Vipers" when they clearly resemble cobras.

It may be something bias amongst Rulons- did you ever think of that? There seems to be an awful lot of hatred between the "Sharkurrs" or "Shark Men" and the "Vipers", at least among the leadership of those factions- and it looks as though Krulos has worked it out so that he's the only one who can keep the peace between his subordinates- a nifty method of maintaining control- proviso that you're available to do just that- otherwise the branches of his military will be at eachother's throats withing days of his departure!
I was a big fan of this storyline in my youth, and still am though currently in my mid-thirties (I was about ten when the series came out, and only knew of the toys until I started using youtube to do research for the storyline fanfics I was (and still am) working on.

Β I have to admit no, I didn't think of that possibility.Β That's a very good observation, you know the series well.
Β Best of luck with your story.

Thank you. The fact remains that as the Rulon Alliance (an alliance in name only, it's in reality an empire) is structured the way it is; the only reason why they haven't killed off eachother is because of Krulos redirecting their will to fight against his enemies. They literally are his personal army in a number of ways.

Nice picture. I would've watched it myself, but I was sort of convinced it might not be a good idea by this. -> [link]
I know it's technically not the same thing, but when you think about it, they both kind of have the same undertones.
