Before 'Rooted' there was my little 'flower nymph'. I had an idea to work with oils on everything but the flesh. She just seemed so unfinished. So, I back peddled to my image before painting and 'Rooted' was born. My husband prefers this more simple delicate piece. I prefer 'Rooted' (she's more more my style). Both have their qualities.
