They are no longer 3d, they were, now they are 2d rendered images of fantasy places not 3d models. Hope that explains it.

If you make the 3d model yourself and people can download it as a 3d model then it goes in 3d models but if its a 2d render then it doesn't belong in the 3d category. Thats how I see it but upload it to wherever you feel more comfortable. You could also put pngs in the photoshop application category as well. So really its about where you think people will see it the most and I think thats in the stock area, which really is what it is. I hope your english is good enough to understand me because that all sounds a bit twisted to me

a lot of people put pngs in the psd category because most people use them in photoshop, not everyone though, others put them in stock>objects it really is up to you. You will get more interest if you put them in stock not 3d.
