Description
I decided to give this contest a try. I always liked photo-manipulation and so I say, "Why not? Give it a try."This year my theme is the Necromancer's Puppet. While I was working I decided to make up a little story along with this piece. It is a straight forward narrative of the last minutes of "my" life.
I have come to see my Lordship, whom I thought was a kind old man; a healer of the village, I was not aware of what kind of ritual was taking place: to bring back the dead and rule the Undead Realm. In order for this ritual to succeed, the soul of the one born under the Hunter's Moon was needed. A plan of escape was churning in my skull, but before I was able to act, he took his dark tome of magic and lifted his free hand towards me and uttered the words that became the end of my life as a free Innocent. It felt as if I went numb and my eyes froze in my cold trance. Right before my eyes I saw wisps of light appearing: my soul being forced out from its' gates. My captor watched with a grin that reached from ear-to-ear, as markings dark and oily as ink etched over my face: the symbol of a slave to the necromancer. He has taken my soul, now I am nothing more than a toy of my dark puppet master, pulling at the strings until the end of all eternity.
In this image, I have used a surreal illustrative approach, using some tools in the program to make the photograph look more like a drawing with some expressive sketch lines. I also though the grunge effect would give the piece of a darker atmosphere, contrasting with the glowing sparks.
I had so much fun with this piece! If I don't win I don't mind it, this will give me the experience in the long run. I wish for the best of luck for all who are entering. Wish me luck everyone!

This post is about our RPG campaign in Middle-Earth.
The characters went to the Necromancer tower of Dol Guldur, there were a lot of necromancer apprentices there, I felt that your art matched precisely what I had in mind.

We share a common passion then
I'm a member of a Tolkien web forum here in Brazil, and together with some good friends I've met in this forum, we decided to start a RPG adventure and now we're writing our adventures in my blog.
Well, thanks!
If you like our story I can happily tell me more about it
PS: I'll keep an eye in your great art here!
