Some days, you feel as if life is ok. It could always be better, but it could be much worse than it is now. Other days, you feel as if life is cruel, harsh, and trying to make you feel as if your death is your only option to make it easier for everyone.

Today was, unfortunately, a day of the latter form. It wasn't even anything you did or done to you. Your little brother Jerold has been sick for the last month or so, and his cough was getting worse. Your mom told you exactly what the doctor said; It was an extreme cold. He should be fine soon. That news was a good week ago. Not only that, but he also had been incredibly paranoid, way too much for someone as lucky as him, and you could feel it. Not metaphorically, you could literally feel his paranoia like it was your own. And it felt as if someone or something was watching your family.

You didn't like how sick your brother was. It almost felt to you as if he was gonna die if you mom didn't double check with the doctor and found a way to get a check on his condition. You wished you could take Jarold's place and be sick instead. At least then no one would really care.

You were all dressed for bed and about to curl up when you heard a sound outside your window. Thinking it was strange, considering you were on the second story, you look outside. You couldn't really see anything pass the closest branches of the tree outside. Not only was it really dark out there, but a deep fog had started setting in. Nothing seemed out of place to you, though. Shaking your head, you close up your window and curl up to sleep, being sure to face your window as pure usual when you get paranoid. Right before you completely closed your eyes you think you may have seen some bright rectangular shapes right outside.
