Description
I love moogles, especially the ones from FFIX. They keep changing the moogle design in every single game, so I decided to draw every single moogle (that I know of at least) and combine them in one page!No Seiken Densetsu moogles here - for good reason... this is limited to Final Fantasy moogles (so stop harrassing me!

you could also mention Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon and all the other spin-off games... but that's not part of the main titles. So no, I didn't forget... they were just omitted

Hmm... Seiken Densetsu moogles...that seems familiar...almost as if someone put it in their description expressly saying that they wouldn't be in this image.
Now where would I get a WILD idea like that? *Scratches head*
OH YEAH! BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID IN THE DESCRIPTION!

because I shouldn't disregard older works!
I couldn't help but smile at this arrangement. Simply put, These variations of Moogles really displays the differences of a game's style. Even though these moogles share some common traits, I would never have imagined the differences! Especially the size of the hanging ball from the Crysal Chronicle Moolge! Large enough to add in its own shadow! haha.
Well done Miss Indio.

It had to be done.
I like moogles too. It's kind of strange seeing them all side-by-side, although I've only played FF6 (the one with Kefka in it) and FF7. I honestly thing those were the best in the series, the ones before seem too old and the ones which come after just seem to be more fuel for the corporate machine.
I should probably play at least a few of the others before I condemn them all though, I suppose...
Just a thought as I looked at this, but have you ever seen Ian McConville's moogle drawings? If not, you can find them at [link] should you be interested. I just was wondering how you might interpret his style if you had placed one in this peice.

indiochink In reply to Draknek [2005-03-15 01:52:33 +0000 UTC]
FF6 is still my favorite out of all of them
Hmm.. the moogles are getting cuter and cuter with each incanation I'd say... well, except for the FFTA ones
Machall? My bro reads that all the time, he'd show me some of the good ones from time to time. Though I haven't seen his version of the moogle. The link you gave me didn't have it ^_^"

Hurmmm. It's on the lower right-hand side, labeled 'Mog*Mod'. It's a bit of a hobby/project that he was working on - a plug-in for the game Morrowind - which has sadly halted for the time being. There are some screenshots of his 3D models and so on in there, and he also has some art he did lying about the gallery section of the site. Here are some URLs with actual artwork:

And yeah, they DO seem to get rounder and more 'cutified' every game, don't they? Personally, I like Ian's bcause they don't look nearly as defenseless as the majority of them ("Fore!" ). I sorta like the FFTA ones for the same reason. The FF6 ones are pretty cool all the same, though.

now those are very though looking moogles. They look like a mix of Viera and Moogle - very fun. I have to say, it definuitely goes the opposite direction from Square-Enix
FF6 moogles are suave (kinda classy). Though I find the FF9 ones adorable. I've seen the FF12 ones... and they're even cuter than FFCC... it's amazing

Hah! I'll have to take a look myself. I haven't really been looking into the new Final Fantasy games at all.
I mean, you'd really think they'd finally start revamping the battle system by now (excluding Crystal Chronicles)...

Really? I hadn't known. I'ma take a look at that.
Wonder what he's come up with, now. FFT (the origonal) was my favorite (I forgot to mention it), and the new version for GBA isn't half-bad.
