Description
That's what Captain Nemo's Matchbox might look like - with an underwater view .-) Unfortunately the little white gemstone embedded in the tentacle reacted with the glue and turned pink. That's probably the reason why the captain didn't want the box...The third and last of my little matchbox-collection (I've run out of boxes

I'm very much interested in starting my own matchbox creations (after buying a huge pack of them for my hubby and him only needing one box) but I'm just curious where you get all the little goodies to decorate it...the tenticle for example. Are they just findings or do you make them?

It is a mixture of things I have in my chaos-drawers and others that I make. The tentacles for example are made of fimo, the toothed wheels cut out from some kind of foam mat. Sometimes you can use little somethings from children's toys, too, that get a completly different look once they are painted. It's just one big "give it a try" I wish you a lot of fun and success!

Thanks for the reply! I started gathering unused scrapbook supplies (3d stickers, ribbons, and stuff) and started one last night.

Thank you
But it is not at all difficult to make one, and cheap... and it doesn't take much time. Just give it a try!

) just give it a try! and a try... and a try... until you like it. worst case you have a pile of strange looking matchboxes and can give them away as presents
