Description
we could HAVE BEEN one.humantrees?
or treepeople?
I'd say humantrees, 'cos trees wouldn't need any humans
this reflects the virtual image of how I feel right now.
not happy
not
but I sometimes like being in contrast with my photos
right?

I first thought that there are a lot of jumping people, then that this effect was accidental but I wasn't sure if the tree looks like human or a human looks like tree. nevermind. cool idea

I usually don't like pictures of jumping girls, but the concept of this one is awesome ! What a composition! I like a lot the concept, and the realization, with this light, is beautiful.

Hey ineedchemical. I love this picture.
My name is Alec, I'm from Bristol and I make music under the moniker 'Zoon van snooK'. My debut album is called '(Falling from) The Nutty Tree' and I am trying to source lots of artists' images in order to find my perfect artwork for it.
The album is nearing completion and I want to have everything straight in order to send to labels.
My debut 12" EP came out on Cookshop Records (Brighton) towards the end of last year:
[link]
and they have said they are interested in releasing an album, but understand that I may want to send it to other labels before deciding on a home for it. These labels that I want to send to are Warp, Domino, Ninja Tune, Leaf, Border Community.
I have several remixes coming up for release and a soundtrack to a British Independent short-film that I'm also working on at the moment.
I've had radio support from Rob Da Bank, Huw Stephens (Radio 1), Tom Robinson, Stephen Merchant (BBC 6 Music), Nick Luscombe (NME Radio) etc.
Being the state of the music industry at the moment, there is very little money around to invest and therefore collaboration between us would solely be for mutual promotion.
If you'd like to see/hear what I do, go to my Myspace below:

You can also see the videos and background artwork that other artists have supplied so far.
I won't be offended if this is something that you are not interested in and I hope I haven't offended you by suggesting it.
Take care
Al

4 hours?? Oh my God! You don't sound like a psycho, it's just so much time. I never thought someone would do that. You're one patient person. Hope it was worth it, hehe. I wouldn't consider so.

Honestly, i don't think patience comes into it. This may sound crazy, but on some of your photos, i felt as if i was mentally crying, and i've never had that before so it was kinda special to me. Looking through your photographs was more than a pleasure, and i do wish there were more. Every image (even if it isn't meant to have a meaning) looks like it has a meaning, theres something about them, and i can't figure it. Maybe some things are best left unsaid...?

Yes, maybe they are... I'm glad someone appreciates my photos that way. It's a big step for me.
By the way, I saw you live in London. How's it? Beside the attributes it's been given so far... It's my dreamtown.

Ahh London, yes, that sparkle of life.
Well, i've got one word for you...propaganda. It's a nice place, but only in the centre. As soon as you leave central it gets gritty and bland. Stabbings, shootings, death, all of this. I guess the way the media portrays it makes people like it. But it does have good culture, i can give it that. Lots of different types of people which to me is the best thing about it. And even though it was a stressful time growing up there, i still love it...its kinda hard not to.
Felicia, im not saying its a terrible place, but its just not as special as the camera makes it look. Just try not to get too far from the centre of the city eh...

Well, I did not proclaim it as my dreamtown as a consequence of what I've seen on TV/in the newspapers etc. I can barely explain why I chose it; it may be because I've always been in love with the British accent, and being surrounded by it, mm that would be, frankly, delicious. And I also like rain. Oh yes, pretty heavy arguments, but I don't need anything else.
Thanks for describing me London as it is.

Haha, well there's a difference between a British and a London accent, it's almost like a different language lol, it's surprising. A lot of South-Londoners use "slang", which if told you how they use it, you will laugh.
Oh rain, the way it makes me miserable, wet, ruins the things in my pockets, tickles my ears...but still i love it and always want to just stand in silence while it surrounds me.
Well i think i need to check out Romania, see what's "kickin" over there lol. it looks fantastic.

iNeedChemicalX In reply to samrizzo [2009-07-24 17:41:11 +0000 UTC]
Tell me how they use it!
Yeah, it "looks". Just "looks". Find a non-populated by demented people little village with a river flowing by and rest there for a while. Only for a while. Then, it will start to become more and more obscure...

haha i knew you'd wanna. so here's a few examples.
for the word 'stairs', they replace it with 'apple and pairs'. It's called Cockney rhyming slang.
another one: for the word 'road', they replace with 'frog and toad'.
one more before you die from laughter. ~
for the word 'believe', thay say 'adam and eve'.
That's south of the river thames for you
Jesus, you make it sound like a horror movie. everything gets worse....
well i say that because when you see beautiful photos you wanna go to that beautiful place, regardless whether it's not.

Yes, I loved the "adam and eve" one.
I would probably end in confusion, but still...
Hehe, it's not a long road 'till it becomes a horror movie.

You should be happy because you're amazing.
