Description
I've chosen a chinese/tibetan monastery in the mountains as topic for our internal concept art training at Meduzarts (www.meduzarts.com)Entirely painted in Photoshop, I've started from a rough line drawing. I've spent approx. 16 hours, while recording the first 6 hours with Camtasia.
The original measures 3400x1692.
I'll post a higher res version on my website: [link]

Very powerful. Is this based on a real place? I once had a dream about this very image a long time ago - I assure you, long before you created ot. In my dream, the name of this place (in my dream, a city rather than a monastery) was 'Jeng'.
It's definitely from the Hyperborean Age.

I love the atmospheric scene, related to some of those old associates of mine whom I did not care about too much of their lives, yet hoping to discover more about "how they carried out mundane yet not so stupid looking" businesses around some temples.

Awesome work man! The concept reminds me of the scene in the movie '2012', with the old monk at the top of the mountains
