Description Hi there!

... a moody desert scape, low light situation.
Done from scratch with Photoshop CS2 and CS
(CS2 crashed and I had to switch back to CS .. damn CS2 .. o_O).
I used a photograph for the moon

Thanks for watching,

Daniel

Have anything to do with Frank Herbert's Dune? I really love the detail in this piece though. It's a little distant, but you can tell that a lot of time went into it.

i love this, reminds me of Dune (obviously!) by Frank Herbert, especially with that city as well. excellent piece, as always!

This is flippin sweet!
I love the footprints on the dune. All the little details make it very realistic. The trees look nice as well.
Great job!

Very well done, Daniel. It reminds me of one of our southwestern deserts, and a spot in North Africa as well.

That is a stunning piece of work - great sense of realism. The city sort of reminds me of the city in C.S.Lewis's The Horse and his Boy

I love the atmosphere of the sand in the air... the contrast of the loose soft sand and the hard cracked earth.. Very carefully done, beautiful and eerie lighting, I can feel like something is going to happen but not sure what... There is a lovely tension in the composition, really very exquisite.

Great work, can't wait to see more!

Smoochi,
N. Sorrow
