I can see your point you are making. Though i gotta defend myself ( no hate tho. I hope we can leave this discussion all even and happy^^ )

I would say Sleepykinq style is more shape based than mine. Like take Mystery for an example. He is made out of many triangles. His face represents one + two ears on top of it. I can see you would say my style now seems like a copy of his. I took inspiration of his for sure but I wouldn’t say i am doing the same currently. For example Ángelo ( the right dude) is also made out of many triangles. I gotta admit his chest and stomach part looks like Mystery’s but Sleepykinq made it way skinnier and ‘unnatural’ . It’s his style after all. I try to stick a bit to what is possible. Which resulted in the stomach be a bit wider. Let’s stop talkibg about stomaches, thats weird.

Another part could be David ( the upper left one) looking a bit like Alfred. Alfred’s face is a complete square , I based David’s face off of a square as well but added fur sections to the cheeks. Or what could be consider the jaw line. That’s what i took from my old style and transferred it to this more shape-y style.

The same goes with the ears and fur in general. Sleepykinq does at fur ( like Mystery’s cheek fur ..? That two large spikes on both sides of his face idk) but keeps the faces and arm parts in the shapes. I tried to add fur to the parts to make it look a bit more ‘natural’.

Rhyz ( the bottom left one) and Kao ( idk if that’s his name ) don’t look alike. Perhaps the hair form but certainly not the nose part of ear part. Kao once again has triangular ears ( if i remember correctly, i might be mistaking ) while Rhyz has round ones with fur sections. And the nose us a square circle mix whike Kao’s is more of a circle triangle mix.

I get you see a few similarities. But i hope this explanation shows you I don’t have the same style as Sleepykinq’s. I made a video for him and couldn’t even draw his characters correctly because i add to much fur and couldn’t completly stay in the shapes. Anyway, i try not to change my style because he made a video and jow try to draw like him. I still try to differentiate my style from his. His style is not my goal.

I hope I didn’t insult you with this comment. I don’t wanna get you mad at me. I just wanna put things right.. I don’t like someone saying my style looks like someone else’s or something. Perhaps you could help me out and tell me what parts exactly look like Sleepykinq’s style so I know and can perhaps change then if i agree ^^ have a nice day/night !

ok, I get what you saying 
but I just want to point this out of one of the things you said,
I'm presuming that you are just kinda taking Sleepykinq's characters 
which is more of a heavy inspiration which to be far Sleepkinq is not a big fan of

but if you want my help of trying to get rid of same face syndrome instead of kinda copying somebody else

but before we start. I'm just going to say that thee nothing wrong with having same face syndrome 
like it's not a big problem tbh

I'm just going to say this as my honest opinion, everything looks like Sleepykinq's style  

so to help you with this 
you don't really need that many shaps to your characters 
just give them like round or sharp edges or curves based on their personality   
but the main key is that you don't give them to many shapes 
cuz they could end up looking wired 

like I said just go back to your actual style and just fixes some things,
things that you think look wrong and just fixes them

that pretty much all you have to do

I am gonna be honest but this isn’t exactly helping me much.. you say I copied Sleepykinq style now even tho i pointed out differences. Sleepykinq even says in his video that just because you use shapes you do not draw like Sleepykinq. See, Sleepykinq uses base forms, mostly triangles, squares and circles. He can’t exactly own these shapes. No one can. They are to basic and common. I won’t augure further with this but just look at his ref sheets and compare it with my sketches. They don’t look in common what so ever. The only thing that could be considered close is the chest and stomach part of Ángelo, as already mentioned. Than again no one can own such a stylistic choice. It’s the whole piece that defines the art style. And i think my art style is a lot different from Sleepykinq’s. Simply because he uses shapes way stronger than i do. I still keep parts of my old style and simply apply them to shapes. Nothing more. Just take Sleepykinq’s ref sheets and lay them beside my sketches. You will see we don’t draw in common.

Beside I used sharp edges and curves based on their personality. Ángelo is a very dangerous person to outsiders except his family. That’s why i made him very pointy and sharp, tall and a bit if skinny. Many evil characters have those features. So does Sleepykinq. But sleepyking doesn’t own these features just because he is famous.
Or Rhyz, rhyz is very curved and rouns because he is my most innocent character. Many innocent and positive characters have rounded fearures and circles. It’s basic shap language i applied to my style. Sleepykinq mentioned that in his same face syndrome video. Many other youtubes recommended that as well. Am i coping them too now?

Your criticism would have been more helpful if you pointed out details. Like idk, the chest of Ángelo looks like Mystery’s or something y as this is the only thing that close the same to me. Please reconsider what you mean by coping because I don’t copy him. His style is not even my goal. It’s alright to he wrong. I might be wrong with sone arguments too. But just don’t go to the nect person and say they are a ripoff jusf because they use shapes. Sleepykinq can not own shapes as a concept pf art style.

Sleepykinq said you shouldn’t just go to the next person who uses shapes and say they are Sleepykinq-ripoffs.

To be fair I technically did not call you a sleepykinq with bath and I don't want to tell people that they are one because I paid attention in this video and understand what he was saying, and I'm not going to get to further into the argument with this but but a tiny bit of your style does look like sleepykinq's,
it's not technically a carbon copy

And I don't go up to other people and tell them they are sleepykinq rip off and I see most people could kind of copy his style or get inspired by it will be the right term to use

I'm just saying for your own safety you will get people who will tell you this and I'm just saying that there was nothing wrong with your previous art style it looked fine and I'm just saying that as my opinion there was nothing wrong with it and yes I could compare them and they may not look that identical but I could tell that you were inspired to do as art because it does look similar but not that similar.

And yes I can see you didn't use sharp or curved edges for most of your characters and for me personally I know my criticism doesn't really help because I can't really give proper criticism because I'm not a professional

But I'm just saying for future preferences just like be aware of people who might say that to you

And I know many people who use shapes but not exactly, you might know this but by their terms of using shapes is just using a different format then what they originally had they don't use exact shapes but they would make like a character have like a pointy edge curve edge or any kind of edge I use that an even I'm learning out of the sort of stuff

But I'm just saying it's for your own safety if you want to prevent people coming up to you and saying that you're a sleepykinq rip-off off

I am sorry for the misunderstandings from my side that. I just took it like you were saying i am a ripoff now. Anyway, i hope we can leave this discussion even and simply don’t touch this topic again. You have your opinion, i got mine. And u am sure i am not considered a ripoff or anything, more of i took a bit of inspiration and decided to draw more in shapes. But than again Sleepykinq can not own the shapes, neither can i or any other artist
