One of my anniversary deviations.A metalmouth is someone who has braces, headgear, any sort of metal appliance in their mouth to fix their teeth. Like me! I'm proud to be a metalmouth.

I've had braces since I was 9 years old, I had a severe crossbite and overbite. I'm thirteen now, and I was so happy when I heard I'm getting them off in a few months!!!!

Eek, that's a part of my life I'd rather forget. Two surgeries, constant headaches, bleeding, hunger, threats to be put in the hospital because I couldn't eat for two weeks at a time... And then that one old broad going on about how she couldn't understand anybody with braces even though I made a point to speak as clearly as I had before I had braces. Prejudiced hag. >_<
Congrats to anybody who's able to have them and still have a normal life. You're a lucky one and I hope that luck continues.

That sounds like an absolutely horrible experience. And I thought my orthodontist was bad. Gosh, I feel really sorry for you >.<
The only surgery I have to have is tooth removal. But I've got a year of headgear then a couple years of braces. I hope I'm luckier with it than you were.
