Dwarven Vaults are a surprisingly common occurrence across Bitemarsh and surrounding lands. Unlike their western cousins, most dwarves on this side of the continent tend to isolate themselves within private hold-fasts, sticking to close-knit communities rarely numbering over one hundred individuals. These dwarves still share the same interest in the subterranean spaces as the city-dwelling variety and will often carve fortresses and vaults out of the very rock of mountains and natural cave systems.

These vaults usually serve to protect the architect's personal hordes, though what dwarves covet can range from vast piles of treasure, store houses of ale, or even baffling collections of funnily-shaped rocks. Most of these vaults are often built to impress rather than just as a means of safeguarding treasure, their designs intentionally grand and opulent to impress visitors from other clans, whether they be allies or rivals.

So I've decided to participate in an Inktober style challenge on Twitter, and this is my first submission in regards to that. Unfortunately I very much doubt I'll get many of these done, but it's still fun to try! This picture was for the first theme, "Overstuffed".
